There is an ongoing discussion that Verge is using now Shields (XSH) code. Actually the Shields are accusing Verge to have stollen the code to fix the last timestamp hack.

What a shame. Smiley

NakamotoX delisting XVG

Just got this email from them:

Quote
NakamotoX 0% fees exchange

Dear traders,

we bring to you new important announcement about Verge.

Due to the latest suspicious events around the Verge, we decided to delist this cryptocurrency from NakamotoX.

We do not want to support cryptocurrencies that behave suspiciously. We understand when a mistake occurs, but Verge has already made a lot of very critical mistakes and it is still happening over and over again.

We want to promote cryptocurrencies that are useful and have a future.

We appeal to our users to withdraw Verge from our NakamotoX trading platform until May 27, 2018. May 28, 2018 will the Verge be delisted.

Thank you for your understanding!

Those that managed to sell while seeing this thread being updated still sold at a decently high level compared to what price bagholders got when the news was announced to them. The developers initially tried to supress and deny the attack and the weakness in Verge's system.

XVG is up 6% today but I would expect a major correction especially given that the attackers own a very big sum of coins now. This is no coin to hold.

I really feel for the bagholders, and was SO thankful OCMiner announced his findings but the fact that this coin hasn't imploded boggles the mind. Clearly not enough due diligence is being done by these investors.  The only people getting rich on this shit coin would be the devs (temporarily) and the attackers! They have made millions and with the coin going up have been no doubt trading in at a favorable rate to monero to start cleaning....  They are making INTEREST on the theft!  AWESOME!  Honestly the devs are either completely incompetent or in on it at this point.

Not the first time....what a crap coin, lazy dev team, such a bad code, those flaws are unaceptable.

Verge dying in 3,2,1...

doubt it will die.

Vergetards are so set in their cult like ways that they are willing to take any attacks on their precious little scam coin.

The attacker(s) knows this and is utilizing this to his/her/their/its advantage.

If you have a community who is willing to let itself get fraped over and over again and give you millions of USD worth of crypto to dump on their fucking

heads, well, you'd be a fool not to take advantage of such vergetards.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The verge community is strange indeed. To post on their subreddit you'll need unfair amounts of karma.

Posts that legitimately challenge technical aspects of Verge are often taken down without reason.

In this situation, the only reasonable choice will be the mining of coins with the subsequent immediate sale of them at the current exchange rate.
Keep the savings in this coin, I would not, because at any time the collapse of the course is possible.

Honestly, I think this project has a right to the future. The team is further developing and declares that it will work for the benefit of the community.  Honestly, I think this project has a right to the future. By the way, how's the attack on some mining pools going ?

L0llllll Justin Valo applied a "fix" again. He changed block drift to 10 minutes. That's obviously doing nothing to stop this kind of attack. Can some one tell him? 😂😂😂

This would likely damage their credibility unless they can come up something to remedy the situation and i guess this would likely be the same as ethereum problems. Guessing when will these hackers going to dump their fake XVG though and exchanges can help by temporarily block XVG deposits and withdrawals

The coins are not FAKE, they are real mined coins. Its all on the Devs heads that this is happening. Keep trying to spin this shit.

I'm not so confident that by forcing a algo change to n pastBlocks is the solution.. what will prevent the hacker from changing the algo if he wants to?

I was right again.
Unfortunately yes. Sold all my XVG because I have a hard time understanding why this coin still has some value...
