I never liked this coin, it was too much suspicious for me.. this is the third time that the team asking for free money from users, this time they don't even announced for what exactly.. just a "partnership". Also basically only one guy is the main head of the project... and not counting the fact that verge say it is a privacy coin but has nothing more than other coins.. saying "use thor tobe anon" sounds quite hilarious..

Edit: Dang, if I can see it (with the help of the suprnova write-up, thank you again) that's bad. Really bad. I'm an old salt developer from the iterative days and it would seem to be a simple matter of having second time signal locked to USN atomic clocks and others as a control.

I’m mining x17 on supernova and have not got a coin in hours. 6 1070 ti and one 1080 ti. Shows me hashing away thou. I’m at work away from my rigs too

The attack is still going.. 1 block every second.. just look at the block explorer
Why would they care. 75 million xvg crowd fund and this attack buys a bunch of islands.....
Now look at it (03:31:59 UTC) . . Entire network looks overrun. Of course, this was probably expected and obvious was going to happen.

DEV and Mods of DISCORD said coins were not able to leave hackers wallet. Although I can check here that 3120 Verge left one of the wallets ALREADY and probably to a exchange. I also checked other addresses that show coins from the exploit that have been addressed to possible exchanges.

It seems to be also happening on Suprnova, again, rightnow my miners are just blazingly fast moving through blocks, no shares are being submitted.

yeah pools are still finding blocks, and this wont be an issue anymore shortly. we will be pushing an update and contacting all pool admins.
also, to clarify, this isn't a hack, it's an exploit/attack on mining, and will be resolved very soon. of course i'm calm, this happens in crypto all the time.

Just how long is "very soon"?? Do you realize that by not fixing this immediatley you are basically letting people use the exploit to get free XVG, right? I strongly recommend that you check your attitude about the whole thing before you turn it all into a huge PR shitfest.
Damn, I knew I should have posted earlier in this legendary train wreck thread. I'm not sure why people bought XVG to begin with - the devs failed to deliver several times in the past, now cut and paste 3 year old code (with the original typo even) in the failed fix, and generally use the worst public image possible rather than having an honest discussion. One group owns all the blocks in the network but ehh, lets deal with it later, right?
