So how difficult is it to switch my sha-256 asic chips from mining Bitcoin to mining XSEED?
What exactly do I need to download?
It will not be difficult at all.
I don't know what mining software you're using currently, but there is someplace (from the command line or from a form in a web browser, etc.) where you are entering a pool address (URL), a password, and either a bitcoin address or a pool username when you are setting the device to mine.
What you would do is use that same software and run it almost exactly the same way except you would replace those three pieces of info (pool URL, username/payment address, and password) with the correct info for one of our three pools (iSpace.co.uk, wmikrut.com, or miningpools.tk).
So you'd put in the pool address, your miner worker password can be anything you want, and then you either use a username or a payment address depending on the site.
Both miningpools.tk and wmikrut.com are MPOS pools, which means you do not need to create an account with them, but instead you go into the BitSeeds wallet and make a new address under the receive tab and paste that in as the username (worker name) in your mining software.
With iSpace you have to create an account and then you put your BitSeeds address into the website through the My Mining/My Payouts menu and set up how often you want them to send you a payout. Your mining software would then use something like username.1 (literally whatever your username is with a .1 for the first mining device, .2 for the second, etc.).
So the only thing you'd need to download would be the wallet software so you can go to the Receive tab and make a new address to give to whichever pool you use. If you know how to use your mining software it's literally just fill out the info with the details the sites provide on their Getting Started page (ignore any mentions on their site about downloading something; just fill out the info yourself like you've done with Bitcoin pools in the past).
Hope that makes sense.
I will be recording a video tutorial on mining to add to the course videos I'm publishing, so if you get stuck you'll be able to see the steps. Looks like we'll hit block 8800 and the start of mining before I'm done releasing all of the current course so I'll probably just add it to the number of videos I'm releasing and extend the giveaway by a day.
