So it is very important never to say your recovery seed out loud since you just can't figure out in this age, who's listening or watching you whilst you're alone in your bedroom with your gadgets. Don't mention your recovery seed in a phone conversation with a friend or family,  even when you're calling through end-to-end encrypted applications such as WhatsApp.
What on earth could make anyone tell another person his/her seed phrase over the phone? That’s doesn’t make sense.

Your gadgets could be the spy agents
Yep, it’s no longer a secret that certain phone apps listen on their users in order to gather data from them. Big tech companies pay good money for these data. Ever wondered how come an ad about bags pops up on your timeline moments after you and your friends were just talking about bags. This is very common on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. We sign up to these platforms and agree to their terms of service without fully understanding what it means.

Do not forget that the apps that we download especially the uncommon and unknown ones that you've just downloaded. Because we're also giving them the agreement if it's okay to share files to them, contacts, etc. Like the typical agreement that we get when we download an app either on a desktop or through an android phone. They can also be spies and just remember since the example is with Zuck's lappy, it's also about his app and company Facebook(Meta). You're right that they've got voice activated recordings and sends us enormous ads related to what we spoke and we agree to give them our data and have access to our mics and cams. How much more those unknown apps from unknown sources that we grant access as we download them?

It's a newbie that can openly flaunt their wallet secret phrase, and when they do, they will face the consequences of their action, which definitely will teach them to be very careful. There are always the strict rules of investing in Bitcoin, which are "not your key, not your coin." Because if you give out your private key to a third party, they can control your asset. I think that some people in the cryoto spaces learned to take their security very seriously. Like myself, I have experienced some issues with lost fun in my wallet, and that taught me to be very serious in terms of security.

Telling secret phrase phrase or recovery phrase to someone's even if he is relative is striking hammer on our own feets which is not a wise man thinking indeed. Mostly newbie when they create some wallet and when they got some new account in any exchange then if they have some problems in the account or transferring some funds to another account then if they didn't know how to do,  then they give their recovery phrase or their passwords to other. Which is completely wrong and in this way most of the users wallet has been stolen and they was in loss.

Why would you even say your seed phrase out loud? Would you ever say out loud your banking account password?

Anyway, not only should you not say such a thing out loud, but you shouldn't even type it near a stock Android device, as there have been developed deep-learning techniques such that by using your microphone, the program can work out which characters you type with great accuracy: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62719212.

I am sure no man in this world will say out their recovery key, and it's almost impossible to talk about the private key, especially Bitcoin Wallet.
Zuckerberg and the others keep themselves safe and want permission for everything (Contacts, Messages, Photos, Camera, Microphone) from others.
He knows the consequences of sharing the data, and that's why he prevents himself from doing that.

Thanks to Apple and iOS, I have the option to disallow these companies from giving App Activity data.

Hmm, I do agree, who likes to talk about the seed phrase out, even Tbh no one does it in private and tries to memorize it   Grin Grin, at least I don't just take a snapshot and save it (on paper or wherever you like).

Hmm, these hypocrites... they don't care about user privacy this is what they sell to make millions, billions. Hmm a crypto-friendly OS.. what do you think, a dedicated OS for only cryptomen's (haha new terminology not sure it exists or not). I know we can go safely with current ones by some SOP but a dedicated one will be something next level.

Leo is resting.
No matter how reckless one could be toward their crypto recovery seed, they will find it hard to say their recovery seed loud. The mistake someone can make is not to write out their recovery seed on a piece of paper, giving out their recovery seed to scammers due to they don't know the importance or dangers of giving out their recovery seed to strangers. But if it is in the situation of someone announcing their recovery seed to others, that's the last thing most people do. By the way, the recovery seed in question is not what someone can recall all or sound meaningful or sweet to the ears of people that you would say, let you keep saying it loud to people for that sake

It's impossible for someone to even go about announcing to people his seed phrase as seed phrase is not a single alphabet that the owner can easily have offhand unless a stranger who knows what seed phrase looks like sees where the original ower misplaced it or wrote it down I think that's one of the way it can be seen by a stranger. Some time hackers may also pretend to be helpers to some people and in a bit to get a lost account some people have given out their seed phrase not knowing that they are giving it to scammers I believe these are the only ways people give out their seed phrase to other people I doubt if someone can go about doing otherwise unless such person is sick.

Never ever do that you'll be storing it on a cloud storage. How many of us before that did it when we're too naive, young and new?

But once you're already here for several years and you understand the risk that it has when you do that, you should know what's better and how you should keep it safely.

Don't be so vulgar too to your friends and family about holding Bitcoin, that's the start of making yourself protected.

If you are holding a precious asset like bitcoin, you should know the drill, keeping your those important details should be your priority.

Personally, I don't even let people know that i'm investing into bitcoin as we never know what people would think of.

Honestly even my close relatives don't know about it, I just keep my journey in crypto very private because i don't want poeple to be asking me about what I'm doing, and I don't want them to think that I'm rich because their impressiion when someone is into investing in bitcoin, the person is rich, being quite makes it safe for me as we are dealing with money anyway.

We have read several information about how Bitcoiners should protect their private keys as your bitcoin security and protection remains the most imperative part of your Bitcoin life and assets.......
Yeah in today's world saving yourself from hackers or other people is very difficult on the one advancement in the technology sector makes life easy for us but on the other side, they are making it difficult. Some people are showing off and that makes many issues for them. If you have bitcoins are you are investing in cryptocurrency then why you are talking loudly in public or with friends just to get attention or feel dominant in your friends? Maybe after doing that someone spies on you and uses a small microphone or Seri or Alexa to get your information. My suggestion on this is to not say a single word to anyone about your Bitcoin assets or phrase and the best thing for you keeping your phrase safe is to note down it on paper and keep it in locker when you need to collect it.

Saying that you use an airgapped device that does not and will not connect to the Internet is the best. Some people believe that once the Internet is turned off, you are safe, or that your device is far from any Wi-Fi network while Bluetooth or USB is still working. I do not want to say that you should be skeptical about doing this in a dark room, but Possibilities such as zooming in on some phone cameras easily increase your concerns.

First of all Op exposing your private key is not something anyone would do ordinarily private keys being leaked or stolen is usually as a result of carelessness or ignorance which can be a result when newbies in the crypto space fail to get to understand crypto security properly before investing or as a result of scams or hacks.below is a chart from chain analysis of crypto stolen by hacks over the past 2016 -2022

The simplest solution to prevent people from losing their private keys is to be more careful and improve their security levels.
They should also try to make majority of Thier crypto related priors offline especially hodlings this can be achieved by making use of cold wallets like air gapped wallet which are totally offline.

Doing everything you can to make sure that it's only you who have access will go a long way. That's a good practice that you need to tell your family or friends that you want to be protected. If you can continue like that and have your necessary things for crypto, then you are safe.

Sometimes, we need to be wary of the things we visit and the possible source of hack or something. The best way is to have a hardware wallet that could protect your holdings.

They say theres eyes and ears everywhere. But technically if this kind of situation persist then werent safw anymore. Technology nowadays are so advanced that they can even get your file or information through series of luring tech that interact with us which is very dangerous. Also we dont know if our friend chatting with us dont have hidden agenda at all so better to speak less regarding crypto related especially about private keys and seed phrase.

In my religion  they say that faith comes by hearing, so it doesn't matter how many times that we hear an important information, it is still very good, because out of sight is out of mind. So it doesn't matter that we hear about keeping our passwords and seed phrase safe and secured every time, the information should be ever green in our memory. One of the essence of holding bitcoin, is to safeguard it in our wallet, and if our the wallet address is lost or compromised, then the bitcoin is at risk of been lost forever or stollen.

The first wallet that I ever opened, which I ignorantly misplaced the piece of paper where I wrote the password that very day without knowing, and the seed phrase that I saw later wasn't complete, I still have the coinomi wallet and the bitcoin inside it, but I can not send it. I only use the bitcoin inside the wallet to see price fluctuations, nothing more. It is a very important and bitter lesson for me anytime that is open it. Now that bitcoin price is pumping, I can only watch it grow without selling it, probably forever.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin
Never store your private key in any centralized or decentralized online data storage, none can be 100% trusted but the most salient part of this post is to bring our minds into this topic especially why it is important for you never to say your recovery seed or private key aloud because spy devices could be planted near you and will steal your information ASAP. Trust me when I say this isn't a satire as it is possible for Bezos to pick your private keys by using Alexa to record your keys, lols.

Realize that self-serving voice activated services or microphone database such as Alexa and Siri amongst others can log everything and once someone is able to penetrate or hack into Amazon or Apple, your information could be shared into the Dark web or on Clearnet.

Not just that, there are other ways in which you can expose your private keys and seed phrase online. Using a wallet in an online device is a practice that should be discouraged because it is the fundamental that brings all these ways of exposing keys and seed phrase. You can expose your private keys and seed by downloading the wrong applications and malware, you can even download the wrong keyboard on your devices and when you have a wallet installed in it, the chances of becoming a victim will be high.

Your gadgets could be the spy agents too.

Lastly, whenever you work on your recovery seed, put your mobile phones in another room, put a tape over your webcams as an added security measures and never do anything with your Bitcoin in a public space like McDonald's or Chicken Republic that is full of listening devices. Don't be carried away.

What you don't know will kill you slowly without knowing where it's coming from, the best way to avoid this is to never use a wallet that's connected online, this is what most centralized exchanges do all the time, it's better to buy and used a hardware wallet or an air gap device to manage your seed phrase, private keys and sign transactions. There is no amount of peace that comes with when you do the right thing than taking a cure while doing the wrong thing.

If you value your privacy, it's even better to use a hardware wallet than a coin that is coming from a centralized exchange because these days, the bitcoins are KYC and that is detrimental to your privacy, anyone can spy on what you do and how you spend your coins.

The name technically means a lot. Private key, yes private, anything private must be kept secretly and only the owner knows it.

It is not a public key, public address to share to everyone.

Once someone is able to hack into your private key, it becomes easy to sweep your account within seconds.
You are referring to 'wallet', not account. To be precise, you are referring to a noncustodial wallet.

Never store your private key in any centralized or decentralized online data storage, none can be 100% trusted
Just like what happened to people that thought they encrypted their information on LastPass which many of the information were gotten access to recently

The worst someone can do is to store their seed phrase or private key online. Some wallets are suggesting iCloiud or Google Cloud, but manual backup offline on a paper or metallic sheet like stainless steel or titanium is the best.
