I do love little USB miners, is ck still doing their little fun run pool? Might be worth it just for tinkering.

Not sure what ck is up to, but kano is fairly active in the NewPac/R606 thread, and we even did some testing together on the new GekkoScience R606 Terminus Pod Miner, capable of up to 1Th/s+ in a closed-box design, and powered via USB through an external controller!  Wink

Our Amazon listings for the R606 stand alone miner, and with 94% Platinum HP 1200W and 750W power supply unit kit are now live (although hard to keep in stock).

You are welcome.

I'm little confused. This thread title says 100GH/s but the link point to 130 GH/s. So is it the same? How can you push them to 130 GH/s?

And where is the 8 port HUB. I don't see it on the link.

 Embarrassed

If you overclock them, they can reach up to 130 GH/s.  This will require significant active cooling, as well as a high quality powered hub -- here is the link for the GekkoScience one I am using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PP9SJ1R/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_.TjSCb6VCT63R

I have personally checked all of the links to the MinersSupply Amazon store, and all are working fine for me. I also had a couple of friends check the links, and they all worked for them as well. If you are still unable to view our GekkoScience USB hub on Amazon.com, you should be able to find it by searching for "GekkoScience USB hub" directly on Amazon.com

Additionally, we highly recommend using a server power supply and breakout board to power the USB hub (as opposed to a "power brick"). In addition to being much more energy efficient, a server PSU of the appropriate wattage will also provide much better power to your NewPac sticks.

Lastly, the theoretical hashrate for the NewPac stick miners are UP TO 135Gh/s (this does NOT mean they are GUARANTEED to produce 135Gh/s, but under ideal conditions, I have personally had single NewPac sticks hashing at close to 150Gh/s). There are also many different variables that will effect the NewPac hashrate, including available power, temperature, and voltage.

For the first batch of R606 pod miners, sales will ONLY be accepted direct through the forum. Beginning with batch #2 units, we plan on making them available via Amazon Prime, currently anticipate that being sometime in the middle of May, 2019.

Some users have been struggling to get there NewPac sticks running at speeds over 100Gh/s. Therefore, I made this diagram to help any users, new or old. There is a potentiometer that controls the voltage, looks like a screw head, and is located on the PCB board of all NewPac USB sticks. If you pay close attention, you will notice a flat section along the outer perimeter of the screw head. Use that flat part for reference as you increase and/or decrease the voltage to meet your needs. Please note, even the slightest movement of the pot will affect the voltage, so only turn the screw head in very small increments.

Dear Rockmoney,

May I know where are the probe points to measure the voltage across the actual Vcc across the ASICs BM1387 with a multimeter?

Thank you.  Smiley

A multimeter is highly suggested for this, and one can be purchased for under ~$10 USD on Amazon. The probe points should be located in the same spot as the 2PAC, and there are instructions with pictures in the 1st post of the old 2PAC support thread.

Thats great. Thanks rockmoney. Looks like a little solar setup may well be feasible on those figures.

No problem gt_addict! I don't know too much about solar (mainly because they're moving ass backwards here in the good 'ol US of A, due to fossil fuel entrepreneurs having the money and power to move an entire country that direction), but phillipma1957 is a whiz with solar, and a very active user here (although you likely knew that).

Doing a small amount of research after reading your post, I decided to check out 300-500 Watt starter solar systems. My local Home Depot can "special order" a very basic looking 400 Watt solar kit for $619.99 USD. Plus, I would need a fair amount of other various parts and pieces in order to use the power it generates. Having done plenty of electrical work in my lifetime, I'm guessing I would need at least $600 USD for wires, receptacles, junction boxes, and other parts/pieces! Unless I'm missing something, solar would [unfortunately] not make the best option for me at this time. Which, really pisses me of BTW!

Anyway, I hope things are better on your side of the pond in regards to renewable energy! But ya, very little power consumption for a great return at those rates for sure!  Wink

After a bit of research here in the UK I think I’m in agreement with you lol. Its a bit expensive just for the panels, controller and associated ancilleries. Factor in a couple of deep cycle batteries and the fact its inevitably overcast here it just doesnt make sense. Oh well, the hope of a mini “gekko green” rig will have to wait.

Buy broken panels get them super cheap and most put out decent voltage and around half current got 3 panels a while ago cost £30 for 500watts cheap change controller £5-10 and a few dieing battery's £15 each step down from 24v to 5v £10 for 20amp less than £100 not to bad in the end Smiley

Thanks, I'd love to get my hands on one before I get a few from the US.  I'm offering BTC but I can exchange to a different currency if you prefer, or I can cash out and do a bank deposit.  Whatever works for you.  Smiley

Nice lttle setup rockmoney. Im hoping to have the same going thing going on eventually. Just out of curiousity how much power does do the hubs use? Im thinking of getting a little solar array set up to power mine.

Power consumption per stick is at most 12 Watts. So, estimating on the extreme high end, that's a total of 120 Watts (10 sticks x 12 Watts each). Plus, the fans are using about 6 Watts each, so that's 12 Watts total for cooling. In total, we have 120 Watts (10 NewPac sticks) + 12 Watts (90mm fans) + 6% (for PSU efficiency) = 140 Watts.

On the low side, we can say 10 Watts per stick, and 3 Watts per fan. That would be 100 Watts for the sticks, 6 Watts for the fans, and + 6% = 112.4 Watts.

To answer your question, total power consumption for my setup is somewhere between 113 Watts - 140 Watts total. I am averaging ~1.1Th/s poolside with AsicBoost enabled. Without AsicBoost, I don't see any of the "missing nonce" errors on cgminer, but it lowers my average poolside hashrate to ~850Gh/s.

So, I am now mining at over 1Th/s using only NewPac sticks. I have been asked by a few different people to share my setup, so here goes..

I am using an MSI GE72MVR 7RG Apache Pro Laptop running Windows 10.1 latest edition. I am using 2 of the 4 USB ports to connect the new GekkoScience USB hubs available here: 419mining.com

To prevent as much resistance as possible, I am using short (1.5'), gold plated Monoprice USB cables as can be seen on Amazon here: http://a.co/d/34dBcqo

I have x5 NewPac sticks in each USB hub, being cooled by placing high velocity 90mm PC fans directly on top of the heatsinks. This blows cool air down each stick and any excess heat along with it. Measuring temps with my infrared thermometer (heat gun) shows temps at 104°F. The 90mm fans fit perfectly when placed directly atop of the USB hub with x5 NewPac stick in, and can be found here: http://a.co/d/dnVhvcN

For power, I am using a HP 1200 Watt Platinum Server PSU with breakout board, and connecting via the 6-pin PCI-e terminal. The 1200 Watt PSU is definitely overkill, but I generally only run my power supplies at 40% of their maximum rated capacity. Virtually the same PSU setup can be found here: 419mining.com

To control the speed of my fans, I am using a 12V DC fan speed controller I had laying around (these are very high velocity fans and need power cranked down a bit). The same one is available on Amazon here: http://a.co/d/g1eLxdz

Feel free to view pictures of my setup below, or view the entire gallery by clicking here: https://postimg.cc/gallery/3f4g4bkea/

Use that flat part for reference as you increase and/or decrease the voltage to meet your needs. International Shipping is now available for only $18.00 USD

In an effort to provide better access for those located overseas, ALL International orders will use a precalculated, flat rate cost of just $18.00 USD per order! Hopefully, this will help International sales, and make it easier to order.

Do you have any more left?  Do they really do 100Gh/s in ordinary, stable condition?  Is there a discount for bulk orders?

Do I need a good USB board to plug in several of these that can deliver the necessary power for them, and room enough so they aren't close together?

I've always wanted at least 5 of these!  Preferably, 10, but you know... Smiley

Yes, there are plenty in stock and available for immediate sale. Theoretically, they can do over 100 Gh/s, but you would need a high end USB hub able to supply at least 2A to each stick simultaneously. I currently have x4 NewPac sticks running at 300Mhz, and yielding 265Gh/s..

########################################

- Available For Shipment On November 21, 2018 -

GekkoScience has introduced their latest product utilizing the BM1387 ASIC - The "NewPac". Its predecessor, the infamous 2PAC stick/USB miner deployed two of the 28nm (nanometer) BM1384 ASIC chips, but these BRAND NEW miners use TWO (2) of a much more powerful, efficient, & smaller 16nm (nanometer) ASIC from the Antminer S9.

GekkoScience NewPac USB Bitcoin Miner

GekkoScience has introduced their latest product utilizing the BM1387 ASIC - The "NewPac". Its predecessor, the infamous 2PAC stick/USB miner deployed two of the 28nm (nanometer) BM1384 ASIC chips, but these BRAND NEW miners use TWO (2) of a much more powerful, efficient, & smaller 16nm (nanometer) ASIC from the Antminer S9.
