Mining update: Maxminers resolved their website issues and BitSeeds mining is still going smoothly. We expect to pick up some more miners, pools, and to start seeing more trading activity once we start getting some press coverage in the near future. Just a quick heads up - the wmikrut pool will be going offline temporarily sometime fairly soon (maybe a few hours from now since it's the middle of the night) so the pool owner can rebuild it. If you haven't received payouts from the pool, he's going to be sending out all backlogged payments and is rebuilding the pool to troubleshoot the issue.
Maxminers has been paying out steadily, but I'm noticing they seem to be having some unrelated site issues and downtime. Hopefully they'll be up and running again soon, too.

Yes, the network launched originally in April of 2015, the original dev sabotaged the project by forking it to a new codebase with broken POW and abandoned the project in early May the same year. I got involved in the project after that.
Now, after many roadblocks and delays over the past year, we've just relaunched with new codebase at the end of April. All existing users were able to reclaim their funds on the new chain along with the project funds needed for the Rainforest Foundation. We did overestimate the funds needed by a bit to cover everyone, but we'll be burning the difference and posting a link to the transaction.

Made a pull request on github, apparently if you don't have a specific version of boost the wallet won't compile properly.
Wasn't aware of anyone having problems, but went ahead and merged it. Thanks!

I'm glad it was an easy update process for you - we put in some extra effort to make it go as simply as possible for everyone. Glad to hear it paid off, and I appreciate your ongoing support of the project. There's a number of things (like our payment processor coin.co and our XSEED gift cards) that have been ready and waiting for about a year now, so we should have those online over the next several weeks. We also should be seeing some press coverage in the shorter term. Will keep everyone posted as things move along!

use your wallet address as the worker name and anything for the password.
wmikrut.com has stats for BitSeeds and all other coins on the pool.
Remember, blocks are zero reward until 2017 and we are on block 1820 as I type this, so we're roughly a day away.

I've updated the OP with the current download link for Windows and I added the Mac download.
If you downloaded an earlier version of the Windows client and haven't imported your old funds yet, please re-download the zip file as I've improved the instructions and the bat file and made the process much easier for people with encrypted wallet.dat files!

I've got the tutorial videos recorded and edited but still need to export and upload them, which I may not do until tomorrow since it's almost midnight Tuesday here and I just noticed I haven't eaten dinner.
Oh, also, Richie has updated the wallet at Bittrex, so you can withdraw and deposit funds again - just make sure to only do it with the new BitSeeds 2.0!
