I was specifically looking for a voice in comment from page 1-2 and only this post makes me think that selling accounts is not prohibited but you will probably get a red tag from DT members,  because most of the bought accounts are used for scamming (not all)  IMO.

And most of the account sellers are scammers that don't have accounts to sell. You'll pay and then they will disappear.

This guy will possibly buy an account,  a caught fish.

Are there any websites where bitcointalk accounts are listed? Where do they purchase accounts normally?

Very nice project. While the price confused me. What's the unit of the price? is that BTC or ETH?

Been thinking that I'd be the one to do it someday but congrats lol

My Feedback
Like someone said,

The most useful part of that, which you have left out, was the breakdown of posts by activity period and board. Particularly now that the user stats have been disabled on the forum itself.
This and the listing out addresses posted by the account which I used to find very helpful in linking alternate accounts.

How accurate are your SMAS results ? This is a well done feature.
Not a must but it would be better if you could add some responsiveness to the website for the mobile view-ports.

I'd say the list of addresses the user posted was also very useful. Great for trying to find alt connections or helping people who got their account locked and need to sign a message.
I recently scripted something to find all addresses posted by a user. Something like this:
Code:
#!/bin/bash
mkdir /tmp/addy; cd /tmp/addy
i=0; while test $i -le 3440; do wget "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=507936;sa=showPosts;start=$i" -O $i.html; i=$((i+20)); sleep 1; done
grep -o -w '\w\{26,35\}' *.html
This was just a quick fix to get a few addys posted by someone. It shows all "words" from 26 to 35 characters long, so not only addys, and doesn't exclude quotes. For your history, it gives a very long list of addresses you've quoted.
I could fix this too, but I would prefer a site that does this for me, just like http://bctalkaccountpricer.info/ used to do.

You did a very nice job OP and if we have more people like you this forum will be off the chain. However, you need to improve the users information which the site provide.

I'm giving you merit for a job well done though Smiley

I'm assuming this was based on achow101's original code. The most useful part of that, which you have left out, was the breakdown of posts by activity period and board. Particularly now that the user stats have been disabled on the forum itself.

Please calculate a lowlife beggar preferably virgin and most importantly a reputable merit source with only 5 sMerits every 30 days (don't expect theymos to give me more, even though everybody knows that I am a source and merit stats are published for the public review, thus me having 5 or 5000 sMerits wont allow me to abuse them even if I'd wanted to). make sure to change your algorithm to estimate somewhat around 0.9BTC up to 1.5BTC.

(what was that? I shouldn't sell my forum account specially now that it has a merit source status? lols, not a long time ago I was willing to sell my own 80 Million of terrorist people to the good guys in CIA). lol.

When I put my bttalk ID the response I got was rank not enough  but when I replaced it with my profile URL it worked. Loading time was about 20 seconds using a mobile chrome browser. So either u work on the bttalk id algo or remove it from the interface altogether.

Is this normal? Loading/Calculating time is very long I'm waiting for almost 10 mins it doesn't appear any single information. I do have fast internet and I'm using chrome browser.

Same situation do also happening on me where loading time took so long even the UI is just lite.

How much time does it take to get the estimated price information? I waited 5 minutes but can not get the price info. Probably, your site bot get caught by bitcointalk ddos prevention service.
We dont know if hashflare service do have really the involvement on here regarding on getting accounts information in the site. Crawling might still possible since information posted are accurate but im not really sure on the price of each account.
Update about this price calculator. When I do first tried out this estimator loading time is about 5 mins and I tried out on next browser (Internet Explorer) which it becomes more longer I don't know whats the matter.I have tried to access it on Mozilla then it loads up for about 3 mins. They do have difference on loading times on each browser that I do tested.I have no idea why do have this kind of loading times for me yet I do have a stable internet connection and a fast pc.

We want to implement bitcoin as a payment method in our online shop.
Would that be possible?
Which currency do you recommend?
Can currency conversions be made in different currencies?
Thank you in advance Wink

Hi,

I would be glad to find out more details, we completed similar task recently and currently working on the cryptocurrecy wallet (several currencies).
Please share more details under PMB.

Happy to chat

Bad news for the forum honestly, and I hope your calculator also gets ddosed like the other one. Many real people get scammed and driven to depression by loss of money they can't afford to lose due to being scammed by bought accounts. Consider that.

How do you determine the price of an account? You have to detail the importance of each parameter (activity, rank, merit, merit, trust etc...) Unless you are based solely on the activity and at that moment, it's not interesting!

I think I should appreciate the amount of effort you put there in other to come up with something after the last one ended. But I actually have two reservations.

1. The basis for the arrival of the price of each account because the value arrived up there is .1186 for Hero account while Legendary account for .223 which is close to a thousand dollars and more than $1500 respectively. Who exactly do you expect to buy account at amount and even you yourself can you?

2. It is generally something on the forum that buying and selling of account is seriously frown at even though its still not outlawed but the era for which its useful has passed while the exact objective for having that in place has been outlived essentially. Now you created a model to value the price of account, are you contributing to the progress of the forum or dragging it backwards considering the amount of disadvantages this has generated that outweigh the whatever benefit this could bring.

The speed is the key strength, but it doesn't offer more than that which i think is not enough. could you explain what 'your rank is not enough means?'
what else to you use to calculate the value of an account

This is what I experiencing as well. And at the initial load, I noticed that the spinner is already active. It much give the impression that it is loading at the very onset. And after the data is loaded, it continues to spin.

I really wanted to know as well what's your algorithm for computing or calculating the price?

Do you guys think that account seller here will take advantage of this software? We all know that we frown account seller / buyer. Just sayin.

Hello everyone,

Today I present to you the project I have been working on for a long time. This project is a price calculator for Bitcointalk Forum Accounts.

Do not forget to write your suggestions and opinions about the project.

Website here: https://pricecalculator.win/

How to use:
Enter Bitcointalk Forum Account ID or profile URL
    Select account trust type
    Click the Calculate Price button

NOTE: Calculated prices are estimates.

If you want to support the project:
    BTC: 1DBprZJMWMXaBLKJcLqhKqSSMxuWdcM6wc
    ETH: 0xFa01C9A50Bd2846dB1E7537c76E0CD51d075aE14

Special thanks to achow101 for Algorithm idea. (I made some changes on it.)

I really liked your site - works perfect for me; even refreshing the page to calculate the price again doesn't bother me at all. Design is really nice-looking; However, I think that it would be nice prices were shown like BTC\ETH\$ - that would be just awesome.

Took long enough to load (not sure if it's because of the post counts), simple looking UI but really fun to do Cheesy
I think if the UI is upgraded and added more info in it, I bet it would be really amazing. Good luck with you Smiley
