I'm assuming this was based on achow101's original code. The most useful part of that, which you have left out, was the breakdown of posts by activity period and board. Particularly now that the user stats have been disabled on the forum itself.

It's good to know the speculative price an account would sell for, yes. I suppose there are dire circumstances of which people would be desperate enough to sell their longstanding accounts.

But in general, i'm surprised no one is against this or has voiced this sentiment on this thread.

I mean, why would anyone want to sell their bitcointalk account? Anyone who can access bitcointalk, can also make an account. So everyone should use their own account? This is elementary logic. If you want an account, go make one.

Selling a bitcointalk account to someone means they're going to use it for something they can get away with. Why else would they want to buy one.

That said, I suppose bitcointalk accounts can be seen as investments that grow by the year. It only makes sense because it's based on bitcoin, which also grows by the year.

Hello everyone,

Today I present to you the project I have been working on for a long time. This project is a price calculator for Bitcointalk Forum Accounts.

Do not forget to write your suggestions and opinions about the project.

Website here: https://pricecalculator.win/

How to use:
Enter Bitcointalk Forum Account ID or profile URL
    Select account trust type
    Click the Calculate Price button

NOTE: Calculated prices are estimates.

If you want to support the project:

    ETH: 0xFa01C9A50Bd2846dB1E7537c76E0CD51d075aE14

Special thanks to achow101 for Algorithm idea. (I made some changes on it.)

Nice idea! but you should add the helper (for example I don't know where is my account ID located) of course I can find out it by myself but ...

Maybe provide some estimation as to how long your calculation will take.
If there are 10 pages of comments to go through and it takes 10 seconds per comment, then provide the user with the feedback "hey this is going to take roughly 100 seconds".

Also, the text doesn't line up quite right after it calculates - for some reason it still shows waiting even after finishing. I tested with "Light Green" trust.

The speed is the key strength, but it doesn't offer more than that which i think is not enough. could you explain what 'your rank is not enough means?'
what else to you use to calculate the value of an account

Looks like you're expecting the user to select the account type, but the fa-spinner makes it look like the program is figuring it out.  You should change that so that people know to select the type.

It takes too long to calculate.  Try different value for setInterval?

I tried it out, it says my "RANK IS NOT ENOUGH". Don't know what that means, I'm a Hero Member.  Grin
Wasn't able to replicate that error, using your UID. I got this (regarding your account):

Since you made some changes to the original algorithm that achow101 had, may I know how "Good Post" category is being measured? If it's based on certain character count, then the results are irrelevant.

Hello,

The page loading speed is fast. The higher the message count, the longer the calculation time.

this is my evaluation:
Good Points:
1. Attractive design.
2. No Ads.
Bad points:
1. need to update /refresh the page after each search.
2. A unique algorithm for some accounts is not working "Satoshi, Administrator, Staff, DT members,.....etc".
3. Closed source "Can you share your source?", I think the value of the accounts rose after the merit system.
4. Modify the value of the account based on merit points.

Thank you for your evaluation and suggestions.

1. FIXED
2. I tested it, but it works.
3. The project is currently in beta. It could happen in the future.
4. I made changes on the algorithm. I work to make it better.

Seems a very nice project and full of good potential. There is some rendering problems when the calculator results are opened.
But this may be just in my browser. I'm sure you'll improve it a little further.

Thank you for your evaluation. Can you give me more information about the problem?
