How much would Byte coin be worth say 1 or 2 years from now?
as a person who is heavily invested, im going to say realistically, probably nothing. But people dont buy lottery tickets because they expect to win, they buy it for the chance and because the reward will be so great if they do. BTE is like this, except unlike a lottery ticket in that it has (in my estimation) a positive expected roi. So for example if you could buy a lottery ticket that gave you a 1% chance to win but would increase your initial investment 1000 times, in the sense that it is technically a good investment it has a positive roi, even though statistically speaking you probably wont win.

It's not that easy to predict how much bytecoins will actually be worth, as they are pretty new to the market, although, they seem to be getting a lot of attention. I'm sure that a lot of people are hoping they gain value, as it gives a new opportunity for investors or latecomers to bitcoin to, well, have a 'new' bitcoin.
(Realistically I think they will be worth pretty much nothing, but it would be great if they went up in value)

Oh, so you mean it's a PPLNS pool (Pay-Per-Last-N-Shares), pays out based on an average of a set number of shares. (Meaning that you have to mine for a while to increase your payout, and can be paid for shares multiple times).
On that note, the pool which supports the faucet is also a P2Pool instance, with a custom live-updating frontend

Yay I only mined 0.5 BTE so far 
the pool starts out slow and gradually increases. also it continues to pay out for quite a while after you stop mining.
That's a really nice thing about p2pool, you get paid even after you stop mining!
It just takes a bit to ramp up to your full payout at first.

(or Early-adoption, you might say)I also think that this cryptocurrency could have the potential to succeed, as it is an exact copy of bitcoin, and it seems to have some interest from people with quite a bit of hashing power.
