I am brand new in bitcointalk.  I want to participate in bounty campaign. Can I?

As far as I know, you are free to join bounty campaigns as long as the manager allows brand new users to participate into such.

Be cautious, however, as most users who join bounty campaigns (not everyone) are also the ones who contribute to dozens of spams throughout the forum. Newbies also tend to create spam posts and over-asked questions that were answered a long time ago. If you do wanna earn alternative income, I highly suggest improving your knowledge in cryptocurrencies and share your insights on them by providing/creating useful threads.

Yes, you can. There isn't any such limitation or condition of account age. You can surely participate. But you must first learn the basics of this. i.e: checking for the credibility and legitimacy of your post. First thing is to have some research regarding your requirements than to proceed.

Unfortunately not in big signature campaigns. Since they require minimum member level rank. But there are signature campaigns that allow every rank to join in, they give reward in the form of coins that are not listed on exchange. I advice not to participate in such campaigns. First try to go up to rank of member level, its not very hard. Just 10 merits are required for that.

Of course you've got zero restrictions about participating in bounty campaigns. Though, its got some consequences from the few who don't appreciate much of bounty hunting. Bounty hunters on the forum are known to be money hungry people, people who just come to the forum with one mindset, 'what is there to archive or how much can I archive'. This isn't a very nice mindset as, through this, so many scam campaigns are promoted.

My point of wonder at times is, how do these beginners get to identify the bounty section so easily! Anyway, I'll suggest beginners focus more on learning the pros and cons of the forum and system then , one can benefit more from the system that way.

As long there’s a bounty campaign that accept Newbies to participate in the bounty campaign, you can go ahead. Maybe on the social media, articles or videos would do. But for signature campaigns, the minimum is Jr. Member with 1 merit but there are some who only accepts Member and above.

Joining a bounty campaign is for promoting a project. How will you be promoting something you have no single knowledge about. <…>
Ideally, people would invest some time into reading and understanding what they are promoting, be it passively through a signature, or a bit more actively (and spammy) through the social media. Nevertheless, I’d venture to say that 99% of signature participants know close to nothing of the project they promote, and even less have stretched to trying it out (if applicable). Selection criteria is, more often than not, based on what campaign takes one on, rather than what the project is all about.

Don't be the type of person that falls prey to scam easily

If I were you, I will prefer to learn at first about this forum, about crypto, and also more information related to become more contributivein this forum.
You know, many newbies are here and being successful by being contributive and they can increasetheir rank, and finally can getpromiisng payment with that rank in certain campaign, moreover signature campaign paid in BTC.
But of course, it is not easy enough.
So, here, moreover you still only have one, it is better for you to read more things here, about rules, rank up information, about bounty campaign and others. Because, there is very few campaigns that accept brand new, expect it may be the social media or non-signature  campaign. But ensure that you have  social media or YouTube channel, or Medium, or  others that have many subscribers or followers. Because if you are only a brand new, without many followers in your Social media or other media, the reward will be very small.
I don't mind to make you dropped, but it is about logical.
Just learn at first before earning more. I ma sure that you can do it, because many newbies also can do it.

I totally agree with you seriously I believe you should familiarize yourself with the forum because the forum is not just about bounty alone. When I started Bitcointalk I also came with the mindset of participating in only bounty but later I discovered that Bitcointalk is more than bounty alone you can learn different things also.

Are you sure that you are brand new here? How do you know about the bounty campaign on this forum?
It is okay if you want to build an account because of the better payment rate in bounties but you probably need to give more effort not to sound like a bot.
That's the exact question I want to ask him also. After this post, I hope he will be able to post again after reading the comments to his post. These are the type of people that came to this forum with high hopes of becoming rich overnight without proper knowledge and good impressions. Once the system is not going as they plan, they will back off totally

Go altcoins section and from the line you can see bounty section and you will see many brand new account who are in bounty promoting a company, as new person you can join bounty but you can not join signature campaign because signature campaign is selective and it have to do with laws of the forum with activities and rank of the registered user and bounty dont have to do with activities and particular merit to be reach before applying

It's adviceable you engage in the forum for a while atleast to earn some knowledge, ranks and merits before pursuing your desire of joining the bounty section.
This is because most bounty campaigns requires that you have been ranked up before accepting you into the forum, now in other to make your choice about the campaign to join, you have to have what they all want.
It'll also do you good if you could read up the forum's rules in other to avoid future mistakes.

I don't see any sense in joining a bounty campaign just immediately after being registered to the forum, why don't you take a few helpful steps around the forum and it rules so you would be guided on how and what to post? What if you are reported of plagiarism and being banned for these purpose after a long while just because of your inability of not knowing what's right?
Most Bounty managers may not even accept you except for the ones that ain't really specific and secured with their escrow funds  or whatever.....but you LEARN before You EARN

Yes, welcome to Bitcointalk forum, you can be able to participate on bounty campaigns, but some bounty campaigns require ranks to be eligible for the campaign. It's advisable you should try and participate in the forum, so that you will rank up so as to be able to participate in signature campaigns too.

When you say go up in rank, what helpful tips can you give to newbies like me in effectively ranking up?
Don't worry, if you have a good interest in reading then you will soon find the most powerful way to increase your rank, especially about quality and merit posts. Find something relevant to your desires in the thread that Ratimov has provided here: Beginners & Help Encyclopedia [UPD: +Categories]. But before that, both of you (Taskford and Nwaokelz) need to correct your quote properly.

Beginners can join the bounty, but will be strictly limited to the signature campaign. There are many options in bounty like twitter, facebook, articles, youtube reviews and translator and I think you just have to find which option you are interested in. A good advice for you is, don't get carried away by bounties and payouts from the start as you need a lot of knowledge to do this. You need to learn about analyzing how to determine which bounty are profitable and which are potentially fraudulent but I advise you to learn how to post quality stuff as this won't waste much of your time compared to blindly joining in on every bounty out there.

Obviously you can but before joining any bounty kindly read the whole thread and make sure you are eligible to join and can submit reports properly. And must follow the bounty rules to receive payments.

For a social bounty, article bounty, blog bounty - the age of an account does not matter. But for signature campaign it matters.

I suggest don't go for useless bounties that pay shitcoins that are not on  any exchange and have no future. Better try to go up in rank and participate in bounties that pay good to high rank members and are administrated by trusted members. You can find signature related bounties here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

When you say go up in rank, what helpful tips can you give to newbies like me in effectively ranking up?

But can we actually tell which one of them is a shitty one and which one of them will pay us? Well for this its better to join as many as we can so that we can get paid on one of them and to do that well since his rank is newbie then joining in social media campaign is a good option with. Also if he is creative and can do youtube reviews then he can also join on that option to.

Yes anyone can participate in the bounty campaigns which are on the Bitcointalk thread. Just read every rule and work according to system and you will get your reward as per bounty guidelines. Bounty are really a serious business, it provides Non-stop work that you can't handle very easily but a good source of income if you know about crypto. A solid social media can help you to earn much more.
