Just like ALL the other coins - and maybe even Bitcoin if it doesn't make it either.

It's a kind of derelict coin.

I wonder if it just keeps on trucking because some megaminer got hit by a bus and now there's no one to shut his private pool down.

Thousands of years down the line, our robotic posthuman descendants shall unearth several ancient computers, still desperately mining i0-coins, leeching off a power line the company just never really cared enough to cut.

what happening in exchange?
200 blocks behind?
Same problem as last time. A block reorg going back further than the deposit confirmation limited caused the exchange to stop processing blocks. I'll look into it to see what caused it and re-enable deposits/withdrawals when it looks safe.

You do know what is in the Geist genesis block, don't you Smiley ?
No I don't! Enlighten me please  Smiley

"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons death may die" (in case you wonder, that's H.P. Lovecraft, a wonderful horror writer)

Alt chains pretty much can not really die (the fact that RS failed to "consensually shutdown" SC illustrates that nicely)

As for i0, it has about 30 Ghashes on it. Makes perfect sense someone tried to overwrite it for sheer evulz.

Epic!

Someone tried rewriting the block chain 10 blocks back, which is the number of confirmations the exchange waits for deposits. The exchange has locked the block chain down automatically. I'm looking into it.

Seems I0C bitparking exchange locked at address 37789.
My deposit 1620 is not showing even after 30+ confirmations.

When a supposed fix for the exploits being discussed are actually posted publicly so they can be vetted, I will update the fusebox fork of the i0coin chain.    But so far it's all talk until the source is openly posted.   Frankly since doubleC runs the largest i0coin exchange any submission would essentially need to be a-oked by him otherwise he will have no reason to turn the exchange back on as long as there no coinfidence in the algorithms that were placed in ix/i0 coin to lead to the forks...

That source was published on github yesterday.

Edit:  think it was in this commit  https://github.com/Lolcust/GeistGeld/commit/f9523f33ec22e26b7781f5a545fc74b4ecdc31a6
if not it is in one of them anyway
