The pandemic has been changing the situation a lot. In my view if the market becomes more active to trade crypto. More money come to the market and i think when this is still continue and we can expect a very big bullish trend comes to the crypto.

Yes, cryptocurrency and related industry has seen many progress as of recent, although everything seemed bad at first when there was a pandemic. But as for other sectors, I think the reason why they are down now is because there haven’t been enough activities in the real world to ignite them to go up. Some companies are even saying that they are not going to be resuming work till next year 2021, so what makes you think that other sectors will improve anytime soon? They will still be crawling on the floor until there are enough activities to make them see growth.
It still too soon to say we're having a better future after surviving through covid19. Right now, we only receive the flow of investment cause as you said, traditional businesses are suffering so they have to turn to crypto investment but what happens after traditional businesses back to normal? No one knows for sure if they decide to stay or just leaving crypto all of sudden, hurting crypto.
I also think of this while most of people are in their homes. They have nothing to do and maybe somehow they can discover ICO and research more regarding cryptocurrency. If not for the pandemic, some people would not have invested in cryptocurrency. If not for crypto, their eyes would not have been opened to hit reality. I think covid has come as a blessing in disguise for crypt market. With so many businesses going out of real world they are being forced to figure out new ways to come up with. This allows people to familiarise themselves with crypto as an option for payment for their businesses. If things go correctly this can actually boost the adoption by at least 40% if not more.

How is bitcoin bringing new ways? Accept bitcoin as payment? Well, they could have done the same thing using paypal and I am pretty much sure more people would be preferring paypal.
But yeah, if they add bitcoin as an option, at lease people will get to know that bitcoin can be used as a medium of exchange other than store of value. But, I doubt it is going to boost the adoption rate to 40% as you mentioned.
