Hi everyone,
I just want to tell everyone about the new scheme of the scammer to scam. especially those people who really doesn't understand much about centralized and decentralized trading platform.

I have read several people posting about arbitrage coins like for example MTV arbitrage
Please check this link as an example:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mtv-arbitrage-chance-5050943

upon checking what they the link that they are using, you can see that they are pointing you to Forkdelta.
when you check the trading on https://forkdelta.app/#!/trade/0xcd53c76b8a350b7f9815d6ddc4617bf37c7288ff-ETH you will see a token named MTV  (Multiversum). The scammer wanted you to think that this token is the same token found on IDEX.
Because there is really a Multiversum on IDEX.

But if you analyze very carefully the MTV on forkdelta doesn't match in IDEX because of 2 factors.

1.) they have a different smart contract. on forkdelta (0xcd53c76b8a350b7f9815d6ddc4617bf37c7288ff) , on IDEX (0x07a7ed332c595b53a317afcee50733af571475e7)
2.) The have Different token extension. Forkdelta (MTV) , IDEX (eMTV)

I hope that this short analysis will help others to avoid this kind of scam.
make your analysis first before trying to buy or invest on a token.
It thanks to you that this thread will be able to makes people avoiding scam coin. I really hope there will be more of this kind of project that could be useful for everyone.

I think many tokens like that are in forkdelta, a few months ago I also got a token that has the name etherdelta, but after I transferred it to forkdelta, it turned out that the contract address was different, and your information might be very helpful for our friends who still don't want to observe the contract address a token, for my advice if you want to buy tokens join their official telegram group and request a token contract address.

This is just an example of differeces between decentralized and centralized exchange.
Everyone who decides to make transactions on the decentralized exchange should be aware of the risks - for "Newbies" the worst is not recognizing the basic addresses of coins / tokens (contract address).
Therefore, before anyone wants to trade on any exchanges, education is the most important thing.

Edit/ I don't want to say, that you did something wrong, but if i have to be honest, you didn't was careful enough.. Just saying..

Thanks so much for this information. As you know that it is becoming difficult to keep up with the practices of these Scammers which is why i am happy that a solution has been developed to resolve these issues.

Cloudbric has created a decentralized universal security platform with an open cyber threat intelligence data, that will enable users to protect their assets and activities online or on the blockchain. With their suites of solutions, it is easy to detect scams.

Good thing that there are good people like you who is able to catch these bad people on their bad business of victimizing people. I was once a victim of hacking with the old technique using the Slack site and I was then ignorant at that time I never doubted that message supposedly from Slack to change something with my MEW wallet and then to my shock I horribly lost many tokens at the end.

These criminals can get to be creative and they are always ahead of the curve in creating many ways they can get into people and get what they want. We really have to careful unfortunately there are days when getting careful may not be enough. There must be something we can do against this thing that is putting a big black eye to the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

Criminals,  have created so many new accounts. We really need to be very careful and vigilant.
In most cases, I have noticed that the scammers are stupid and their deception is immediately visible. But it is very difficult to catch them, so just be vigilant, do not succumb to provocations because of greed, invest with a cold head. Always type in Google the name and the word SCAM. Carefully study what people write about them.

These two factors ^^ are enough for you to spot if that is the same token or not and it should be the basic distinguishing factor one should have in mind if they want to know if that token is same or not. Still a good catch and this should remind the community about this modus.

I have also seen several of this repeat itself. The perpetrators, perhaps just one person, has been creating so many new accounts. Some of the accounts were banned. We really need to be very careful and be vigilant. Those looking for cheap things can easily fall victim.
It is a good thing you have brought this to the notice of forum members for extra caution. Scammers are devising different means through which they can scam their victims. We just need to be careful.

Good job of finding this one. These scammers keeps on reinventing their scheme with different coins. They should get a life and stop fooling people with their scams. So that's what they do, they are taking advantage of it by misinforming people.

I agree. Scammers keeps evolving as well that's why we need to be very careful and due or due diligence before succumbing to them. I hope that a lot of new members will read what the OP has exposed here to sad they won't also fall for the trap. Good catch OP.
It won't go through most of the members so being part of the community when you see the same posts like those schemes, take the caution and warn the people immediately and be at first with that warning so no one would ever fall for that scam scheme.

We find scammers again. This is only one that can be seen. There are many more like them behind. We need to be more careful in choosing a project or whatever it is. They are better given punishment so that others cannot be free to do scam like that. Like, they are broadcast to other forums so that others know that they are scammers.
