How much would you need to decrease the payout to make ends meet?

Note, we've added a popunder to the main page. We're hoping the revenue from this single advert will allow us to keep our prize levels the same. Any irritation can be expressed to us here. Thanks!

Consider my irritation expressed. FYI, the popunders have frequently had scripting that pops up dialog boxes when I try to close them.

Yup, I know, it sucks. I personally hate getting hit with them, but the alternative is shutting down the site and I'd much rather give away as many bitcoins as possible, while keeping the site running. Sorry! If other ad revenue streams improve, the pops will be the first to go.

Presale Starting May 1st
Just forgot to fill the wallet, it's added to your server side balance and in 30 minutes the faucet should be funded. The site has been in operation for OVER A YEAR and every time the wallet runs out, someone always needs to throw the scam word out there. Funds are added to your balance, balances can be paid out as soon as the transaction to faucetbox is confirmed. Sheesh.
thank you

How are finances now? You were paying min 400 every 15 minutes, or 1600 an hour, and I'm guessing that drained things out. Isn't the 600 every hour bringing things back in line?

Instead of a popup, how about ending referral commissions after a specific timeframe or number of plays per each referred? To me that seems very fair. No idea what kind of an impact that would have for you.

Advertising rates haven't risen.

600 per hour actually translates into more BTC going out per day, than 400 / 15 minutes due to the fact that only a small portion of players actually play every 15 minutes. A lot of people use rotators that don't end up bringing them back on time, or manually and they end up coming once per hour or once per two-three hours. I would say that the "average player" only visits the site once per day.

Also, due to the rotators, 600 per hour actually ranks the site better than 400/15 minutes because it's the amount paid out per captcha that determines how much traffic you get from various places. We are definitely losing money, albeit very slowly, at the current rate but would rather hold at that rate and traffic and hope that advertising will pick up and fill in the blanks, than reduce the amount per captcha. At some point we will have to do something, though.

As of now, Autoscratch is by default "on" so that you don't have to scratch through the card unless you manually turn it off during each play. Enjoy!

Twice today I have not been able to claim,

Quote
he server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

This time I got the ticket number
http://www.scratch4satoshis.com/captcha.php?TKT=RILLPN-R4TKWT

Also today was the first time I got a gold ticket, are they always of this value?

Ticket ID: 7G6SUL-GGEMNM

Claim Value: 600 Satoshis

So I looked up the ticket and it says that, despite the time out, faucet box reports that you were paid for it:

MSG: Payment sent to your address using FaucetBOX.com AMT:600 USER:194kp7JSXkGMuJQjfXK4GCw3vLtFhy6fN7 TKT:RILLPN-R4TKWT

The only difference between a gold ticket and a normal ticket is that one number of the two is automatically matched, and the second number has a much higher chance of producing a match. In short, much much better odds of getting a prize.

I've referred 11 person but I take 0 satoshi from them. Is there a problem?

You would have to PM me your btc wallet or email address, which ever you played with, or your referral link, for me to look it up. Sometimes the site algorithm misidentifies a user as a bot, I can check it out.

YAY! FAUCETBOX! Now if I can get microwallet to send me the several hundred thousand satoshis I have emailed them about twice in the last month, life will be good LOL.

Sort of (but not entirely) off topic, here--

Love the faucet, and will be advertising on it probably next month...

BUT--

YOU NEED TO GET RID OF THAT SOLVEMEDIA CR*P.

Excuse my language, but I am way annoyed. I just spent about 20 minutes recycling solvemedia captchas that were beyond unreadable, and their audio captcha is so garbled even our ex-D.J. roommate couldn't decipher it. This is ridiculous. PLEASE look at Are You A Human or ReCaptcha as options (preferably Are You A Human, as it is super fun LOL).

BTW, by the time I was done I just said frog it, and didn't bother trying to claim the 600 satoshi again--so you saved 600 satoshi  Wink

Sorry about the CAPTCHA. We'd love to get rid of it but frankly, we'd have to drop prize payouts or do "something else" to earn enough revenue to cover BTC expenditures. Right now, with advertising from bee-ads and adbit.co the way it is, Solvemedia is the only reason we're still operating and it's getting worse by the day.

Regarding Microwallet, it's not just the fact that they don't pay very frequently, but also that their API is down twice daily and it causes problems for the site. I do not anticipate that we will ever offer an option for microwallet when Faucetbox runs a better shop. There are hundreds of faucetbox faucets now, so getting to the payout threshold shouldn't be much of an issue.

We're considering adding a popup to the site to generate more revenue. We hate the idea of doing it, because trust me, almost nothing personally pisses me off more than a popup, but it's almost the only thing left that we can do other than slash the rate at which we're paying out btc. Everyone's thoughts on a popup (popunder)? Or should we consider lowering prize payouts?

Done, it was easier than expected. Not happy about the fee associated with faucetbox deposits, hopefully ad revenue will pick up enough to cover the extra costs.

NOTICE: Scratch4Satoshis is now utilizing FAUCETBOX and XAPO for payments. Use a bitcoin wallet address for Faucetbox and an email address for Xapo. Microwallet will no longer be used effective immediately!

If you can, I prefer you leave microwallet as an option. It will pay out once its reach a 1million. Xapo requires cellophone number to make any transactions and withdrawals, but deposit is fine.

Also, I'm still have some problem with the ad pop up and lose the coin since you disable the back button.
