Interesting... I have been scammed for 4 figures some time ago but I'm not sure if Coinfirm would attend to cases outside crypto.

If it really works, I'd like to get back my funds from that scammer.

A bit more detail here.
I get the feeling that they won't be interested in small stuff.

Scammers/Hackers are smart enough to overcome any form of advancement to get them caught. In the real life itself it is getting hard to find the scammers, with cryptocurrency network everything is interconnected as well it gives the freedom through the pseudonyms feature. Anyhow such initiative of service program is interesting, but it would be good if it attains good success rate.

After so many scam ICOs that required KYC verification, there is a huge amount of documents in the hands of fraudsters. Scammers can easily open an account for stolen documents and withdraw money from the exchange. If the amount is not huge, they can also withdraw money at Bitcoin ATM without any problems. I think that the success rate for this service will be really very little.

do you already have a customer that has their funds stolen from your supported website?
because if you already have done it maybe that customer can share their testimony so many other people that have the same problem will use your service

AFAIK, it's a new service so there are no testimonials to speak of yet.

Scammers, phishers and DNM users/vendors are getting nabbed left and right - even if it's only a minority, many of them leave enough of a trail to track them down.

The downside of course is you will have to pay a fee and even if their service is paid there is no guarantee that the investigation will turn out well and they will recover your funds.

It's literally on their front page and you don't have to scroll too far: "We do not charge an initial fee, the success fee is counted from recovered assets."

If they were proposing to do it any other way no one would trust them.

Oops, I might have misread this part

Quote
"GET APPROVAL We will present your estimated fee once the case is approved"

of their presentation. But then again I would still like to see their previous cases especially their recovery rate to see if this is worth trying out or would it be just another waste of time and keep my hopes up for nothing. Yes a small cut would seem to be a no brainer if you want to recover most of your crypto but how long will it take or how long the process will be before they start doing their investigation, still this kind of service has no guarantee or even if they will accept your case in the first place.

Well, I think the best for those who have been scammed under $1000 is to give it up. It is going to take some long time just to get your funds back, or probably you can get your funds back faster but you need to take other charges.

It is sad actually, people trying to make money from scammed people.

In an individual case, how long it takes before your service recover stolen crypto.
I'd read about the Binance hack and your service was following hacker's wallet address movement, but hackers were also very wise. Breaking transactions into up to smaller and smaller amounts that makes them harder to track. No assurance of recovering hack/scam Bitcoin to track. Unless, if that was lost or forgotten passwords and private key.

So now, I'm curious how this service work. Yes, provide success rate and feedback would be interesting then, it wasn't, that was very doubtful.

Maybe they are tracking transactions until they find them on some exchange, then in cooperation with the police, they establish IP and the thief and then recover funds legally. I don't think they would be able to find someone if he withdraws funds at Bitcoin ATM. It is also not legally possible to take over private codes, only through hack. Also waiting for some feedback..

Coinfirm is a recognized global leader in regtech for digital currencies and the blockchain-based financial ecosystem. We cooperate with top industry partners to accumulate power in reclaiming stolen cryptocurrencies.

why were they claiming to be global leader, they were just up for a year. we don't even see any users claiming they helped them recover coins for them.  the site may look pro but i still can smell the scam of this since they really will claim they can recover all cases like hacks and scams. they really are that powerful if they can do these. i can see they will provide success rate but will not provide the details which still leaves doubt. if they asks fees first before they will act, its going to be confirmed scam.

is this a crypto insurance service, whether this service can be trusted, is there any evidence about this service, I doubt about this service how they do it, and whether fees will be charged if using this service?

It doesn't look like an insurance since you will be acquiring their service after the crime has happen or your crypto has been stolen not before. So this is what they call I think is a "private investigator" for people who don't see any kind of progress with the authorities. The downside of course is you will have to pay a fee and even if their service is paid there is no guarantee that the investigation will turn out well and they will recover your funds. So right now I'm more interested with the results or the success rate they have to see if they are really worth trying after all you will be paying for their services.

How about, you do it on those hacked funds from those exchanges first, especially binance and cryptopia, they should be very happy for that, once they have their words on how good are you on your services then you might end up lot of clients on near future  Roll Eyes

I found information that they recover stolen funds from, for example, Cryptopia, but for individual persons. All in all, I'm wondering now why they can't do it for the exchange itself...?  Roll Eyes

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.

Is this even possible? And if so, isn't it very dangerous? If it is possible to recover the stolen crypto - in other words steal it from the thief, then someone else can do it also. I mean, a thief can use this method. Did I not understand something?

This right here looks very interesting but I like to see and know more about the mode of operation. For instance, if one is scammed by a game exchange. Recently, I lost some funds to bituary. How do intsje up the case and start a process for getting back the ETH they scammed from me.

What details that are need to be provided? I would rather use https://walletrecoveryservices.com/ than to this one they do ask out 20% as fee but at least they've been trusted by community unless if you do offer something less. Why not try to had some vouch to prove out your capability on recovery service?

Those are two different services serving different needs. I'd be interested on the success rate, time frame for recovery and the fees charged by OP's service after a year of running this kind of business. Some scammers aren't the brightest people so perhaps something will come out of this - one singular positive thing of spying on everyone.
