Maybe it should be:

    Development & Technical Discussion
        Electrum
        MultiBit
        ...
        Other alternative clients

?

I think that the root Development & Technical Discussion should be for general protocol discussions.

We should have a sub-forum for Bitcoin-QT, BitcoinJ, cBitcoin, etc...
As well as Electrum, MultiBit, etc...

I think so.  It would certainly make it easier to watch topics of interest related to alternative clients.  There does not appear to be  a consensus on when an alternative client deserves its own child forum, but that can probably be worked out incrementally.


I could see MultiBit and Electrum deserving their own at least, since they seem to be the biggest alternative clients. Making subforums for them (with the official topics stickied in there) would help speed up the tech support process too, IMO.
