Hello All,

I was hoping to get some advice as I am brand new to crypto and trading. So if I have bought an Altcoin or bitcoin at a higher price than it is now should I sell and buy the dip or does crypto not work like that? I am trying to find the best way to start making small profits.

Any help is appreciated.

There's just a simple logic to cryptocurrency trading and how to easily make money; everyone will tell you to buy a coin when the price is at the lowest and sell when the price is much higher than your entry point, it seems simple right?  Well, it is tedious and more difficult than that as knowing when a coin is at the lowest and when it is at the highest is the greatest challenges traders often face in this market

To become a trader, you need to know about crypto trading first You can do day trading to make less profit and also make more profit by investing bitcoin from Altcoin. Analyze the market well and invest in bitcoin If the price goes up then sell it The purpose of traders is to buy at a lower price and sell at a higher price.

Mate, if you sell your coins that you bought at a higher price than what it is now, I do not think you need anyone to tell you are losing with such trade. Where is the profit when you're selling a product below its cost price? There is nothing there and you will be losing.

It is best for you to just leave it there since you have already lost money, just leave it till things gets better. If you sell now the price might end up increasing and you will miss out on the opportunity to make profit. So, relax and wait. I have this same experience before and luckily I didn't sell them, because I didn't see the need to sell it. So, I continued to hold the coins until it increases.

The best way to make profit is to buy at dip and sell higher, no newbies will see a market so high at this time in Crypto market and still went ahead to buy in that's pretty stupid to even have such idea.
That is the basic lesson of trading, but unfortunately, we can not always get the low price because sometimes we miss the chance to buy at the dip. We need to analyze more to find the dip, and that is not as easy as it says because the dip will not stay for a long time, so we need to buy fast when the price is at the dip. The other problem is sometimes we think that the price now is at the dip but the fact, the price can go down for more, so be careful to analyze to find that dip.

When you purchase top altcoins, selling them off due to decrease in price is not advisable as they have the tendency to all climb back up. There's a general saying among trade experts that you lose in cryptocurrency trading only when you sell off at a dip price lower than your purchase price

This is true when he buys bitcoin or the top altcoins, the most important thing is to remain calm. Other altcoins are very good or bad, carefully research the news and the right time before buying them.

You know during the time that i tried trading ,it was difficult for me. All i know is to buy coins, altcoins or bitcoins in a lower price then sell it at a higher price. When the price drop down more than the price that you buy, don't panic ,just wait the time that value will go up again and your turn to sell it to make  profit. Now if you seethe movement of bitcoin and eth,it' nice to trade in a short term.
Making money in bitcoin that has less risk and high potential takes time and it usually is rare with very little to make if you do not have enough money. Normally when you are trading when the price plummets, like seriously almost 30-50% drops on the price, that is the exact time you should buy. The price drops from 12k to 6k? Buy it, even if it continues to drop to $3k after that, keep buying it, buy as much as you can afford.

Eventually it will go to $7-9k range once again and you will profit. This doesn't happen all the time, it happens maybe once or twice a year and that's it, so you are not going to suddenly become rich and do not expect to anyway, this is not a get rich quick scheme. That is probably the only method that has very low risk but also a good return of profit as well.

If you want a short trade then its good if you buy a coins in a dip price then wait a few days to sell in a higher price and make sure that the coins you buys are in good high volume of trading everyday because if you buy coins with a low daily volume there is a chance that this coin will dump and wont recover. If you a long term holder trader then you better find some potential coins to invest specialy the low price coins.

If you are looking for making short term profits in small amount then first thing you need to do is learn about technical analysis, without it is impossible to identify or get an idea about the market movement then pick an exchange where the fee is less, basically binance will be a good option for every coin then start buying coins with your bitcoin and sell them on that day itself so you can make 2-3% per day.

In my own opinion, I can tell you that It's entirely yours will depend on it. Which coins you studied and you have a good idea about coin then you start trading with that coin. And in the beginning, you will start with a small investment Because, at the beginning of anything, there is a lot of loss. When the profit will start to hope, Then increase the amount of investment .

Well it's quite simple here. You don't have too many options.

The only options to earn a profit are

1. Sell quickly and buy back at further lower price so that you can sell it back at a higher price to make a profit
2. wait until the coin's price goes higher than your buying price so that you make a profit

If you want to cut your losses you can sell quickly so that you don't suffer huge loss.

Following the words of others without the experience or knowledge of this market is really a dangerous thing. Because you can lose all you have if you buy a non-liquidity cryptocurrency or scam in this cryptocurrency market. My advice is to supplement your knowledge before investing. If you have bought BITCOIN, ETH or altcoins in the top 10, it can still be processed. Can you tell me what currency you bought?

With regards to prices, is buy low sell high enough to make a profit because I do not think that that is enough because there should be factors that should be considered and I would like to know your thoughts and enlighten us newbies and upstart.

If you buy bitcoin or altcoins at a high price, you should not sell it now. Just hold it until reaches the target sell, and don't
taking profits too big. If you already reaches 3% profit sell immediately, it's better to have small profit but frequent. And I suggest
not using all the capital we have, save a part in stablecoins. So when the price of the coins we buy goes down, we can buy more
at a cheaper price.
That is the usual and best thing to do. Who can afford to lose? people will surely save their assets rather than to be stupid selling their coins even though they are losing for that instance.

@OP, aiming high is what we wanted but I appreciate your mindset to start aiming for small rather than to think big. Some traders would feel difficult because they want an instant win, aiming to gain million is just a day, won't make sense. Isn't an encouraging insight but a curse one that could certainly affect our decision especially in the hard times.

Yes, absolutely, in the beginning, many traders will take the risk by putting their maximum amount of money for trading by expecting they would get higher rewards in fewer time. This kind of thinking will put themselves in a panicked situation and after that  they gonna start to lose their whole capital by doing aggressive trading. So it's better to always start with small.
Right! Do not go all-in at all! Besides allocating your capital to invest wisely, traders should know how to do risk-management. By having those skills, you'll reduce the risk of losing all of your capital! A golden rule is that never invest to a single project with more than 20 or 30% of your total!

users who says buy the dip are the ones who accumulate coins every time the price dips. rule of thumb is to sell your coins for a higher price. higher from the price where you bought it for you to profit which is why most are just waiting for price pumps before selling. you can also do the same, it keeps you waiting but usually it won't take weeks for prices to spike or dip for more than 2%.
