I found out about bitcoin from a news article written about the silkroad almost a year ago. I had no interest in silkroad, but I was interested and curious about bitcoin when the news report said something along the lines of "the anonymous currency known as bitcoin". "How could digital currency be as anonymous as paying with cash and are people actually using it?", I thought while I was reading. After reading up on bitcoin, the way it works, how to earn it, how to buy/sell it, and where it could be used I thought it was interesting. That's how I got into it.

I used to mine a little bit with my gaming rig when I first started out, but after the first electric bill I decided to just do surveys and watch ads for a little bitcoin here and there as a hobby. From just my little hobby that I invest less than an hour a day into I was able to buy a few things including minecraft from steambits.com, mentioned in this article here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/steambitscom-buy-video-games-with-bitcoins-sale-grid-2-177578. If it wasn't for me finding bitcointalk I don't think I would have ever found a legit service like steambits, so that lead me to join this site so I could thank the op of steambits on the public forum to show they're legit. Help those who help you Grin

Learned about Bitcoins a year ago. Didn't pay attention to it since I'm not using it then.
Then learned I can use BitCoins with some merchants I use (vpn provider).
Lots of missed opportunities.

i know dat feel. Also heard about bitcoin about a year ago and read quite a lot about it. Decided i didn't have time back then, the level of regret now...

Its impossible to get out. This rule is so stupid. They should have some test instead to prove that you are engaged in bitcoin and knows a lot about it. I've been reading up on everything that i can since i started in march but never had a reason to register until now. And now that i did i can't use bitcointalk because i can only post here..

I kick myself for not mining or investing in bitcoin when it was worth less than the dollar.

I actually heard about BTC almost two years ago but didn't think anything of it...I know, stupid stupid stupid.  Now I look back and kick myself.  I wish I'd at least read about it or tried to find something out about it instead of blowing it off.

Now I'm into pretty much any altcoin, including BitCoin, as long as it meets the basic criteria of not being a scam.  I'll even mine a brand new coin the first few days just for the heck of it just in case.

I don't have a powerful rig dedicated to it or anything but I did get into digitalcoin in the first week.

I blew it off for too long as well. But hopefully my beast of a rig can get me in the game pretty quickly!
