Hi guys.

Newbie here. Any recommended tips for using the platform

I'll quote.

Perhaps I'm too jaded, but whenever somebody's 1st post is something along the lines of "I am new here," I have to automatically assume they're not new, lol. Its like no shit you're new you only have 1 post, why announce it to everybody?

If the OP asks for advice, I advise him to follow the quote and read the entire thread to understand where he came to and that there are different people here. Not everyone will advise from thread to thread what has already been written a thousand times, but will simply take note of this account.
OP, the opposite question, what difficulties do you encounter when surfing the forum? Huh

I have only one advice for you.

Newbies - Read before posting. It's is a topic with many helpful information for newbies, but I emphasize that the topic title is what you as a newbie, needs to do. Yes, it's "Read before posting".

As a newbie, it's important thing to do. Later, when you are no longer a newbie, it is still important because if you don't read, you can not get what a topic is about, the flow of discussion, and if you only make your post but don't care what other posters discussed previously, your post will be not helpful.

You are highly welcome to the best bitcoin forum you will ever see, who ever introduced you to this forum have done added a great impact to your life that if you are really here to know about crypto and bitcoin investment. You will learn so much in this forum and probably if you are truly serious about bitcoin and also contribute to the forum  with your skills and ideas you can also earn in the forum too so you see it like killing 2 birds with one stone.

I still remember when I joined this forum and alot of people where telling I need to make valuable contribution to the forum and tried it and it really paying off, though at first I find it difficult but you know when you truly want to learn about something you just keep trying and I can how much I have grown since then. So you have to put in alot of work too, to need to make research, read alot in the forum, ask questions where you seem lost and engage in reasonable conversations, with that I think you will see how you will grow.

Once again you are welcome to bitcointalk, and I will try to keep an eye on you too to see how active you are and how serious you take this forum.

[Bitcointalk sticky threads] Newbies - read before starting.
[Mega resources for newbies] Check here, find most of your need, before asking.

These threads give you a lot of topics to start, and I am sure you will be overwhelmed too. Learning is a long progress and if you don't give up, you can improve yourself through learning.

Searching can help you too.
[Guide] Searching effectively
I use the forum search a lot, but you really need to know how it works and how to deal with its quirks. Some tips:

  • If you search for candy corn, it will return posts with both "candy" and "corn" in their bodies or subjects. The two words are keywords that can be separated, so it would match the phrase "I like candy, but I don't like corn". If you instead search for "candy corn", with the quotes, then the two words have to appear right next to each other as a single phrase.
  • With the default settings, it will only return the last post in a topic that matches, even if more posts in that topic match. To change this, enable the option "Show results as messages".
  • If more than about 5 pages of topics would be returned, then only an arbitrary subset of all results will be returned. To avoid this, setting a message-age restriction is often a good approach.
  • If you use the search box in the upper right while in a topic or board, then it only searches that topic or board (& sub-boards).
  • If one of the words in your search is incredibly common on the forum, like "the", then search will return bad, weird results, or may time-out after hanging for a long time. This applies even if the common word is in a quoted phrase, like "the president". Some decent-looking results may be returned, but posts which should be returned will not be.

A couple of tips that helped me when I first started:

Take your time to browse through different sections and familiarize yourself with the layout. It can feel overwhelming at first, but you’ll get the hang of it!

Don’t be shy about asking questions or joining discussions. People here are generally pretty helpful.

The more you interact with the platform, the faster you’ll learn how everything works.

Welcome to the Bitcoin forum as a newbie. You can post on your local board to learn more about bitcoin and bitcoin forums. You can learn more if you are active on your local board and your learning will be much easier.

But if you start learning about bitcoins and bitcoin forums regularly from active and then you can definitely go ahead. No one learns everything at once, everyone has to learn slowly. To earn merit here, you need to create good enough quality posts, create posts that someone else can learn from, and in a word, create informative posts.

If you can earn merit by your good quality posts then you will be able to change your rank. Whenever you can build a good rank you can enter a campaign and earn money. But in the end I would say never think about scamming on bitcoin forums if you think about scamming but you won't last long on this forum.

Welcome OP, you can take your time to read through the link provided above for your perusal. I believe all you need to know about this great platform can be captured in the link already provided  by _act_ . However,  I would want you to know this that the forum frowns at AI generated content and plagiarism. If you must copy from anywhere, you must quote or reference the author of that post you copied to avoid being tagged or banned. Do well to always make original post of yours not not AI generated content which is cheating and misleading. If you are caught, you stand the chances of being banned or tagged for contravening the platform standards.  You just have to be yourself and concentrate on what you know you can do best to better contribute to the platform and her members.
