2nd down! I've been peeking around the forum for around one year already but just had to make a thread now. So should I post all my first posts here?
This sounds kind of ridiculous, but if that is what it takes...

So how long is the timeout that kicks in to stop the 4 hr count-down?

It seems to timeout pretty quickly, maybe around 5 minutes? You can see your total time logged in at the top of this site, I'm guessing that is what the four hours is based on.

I just spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out what I couldn't reply to a post. Thought it was a browser issue.

I've been registered for quite sometime too.

It turns out you can't send PM's either. I should have four hours logged here pretty soon now that I've made an account though.

Also started mining Litecoin recently, with the goal of conversion to Bitcoin. Decided to keep 1/2 the LTC I mine - gambling on it enjoying a similar percentage gain to Bitcoin. I had a hunch about PPCoin, so doing a little mining in that too. I would like to recommend the WeMineLTC and D7 pools for LTC and PPC respectively, I found the folks in chat there to be helpful and n00b-friendly.

I get a mediocre hashrate of 250 - 300 KH/s from my 5850. I may buy a dedicated rig in future (depending how the LTC difficulty behaves in the next few months) but right now I'm trying to recruit gamers / students to mine for me.

Can you mine LTC using BTC hardware, esp ASIC?

Is it still profitable to mine LTC? Was mining a few days ago but for some reason my khashs dropped significantly, is this from a jump in difficulty or am I just doing something wrong? Went from 300 khash to 30..
