damn, i wish i remember the login i created last year! now i have to start all over again.

In my opinion that restiction along with the requirement for several posts in the newbie area are nothing, but an encouragement for spam.
I'd greatly appreciate it if there was a reply restriction notice while signing up. There is nothing in help, and while I admit I would have eventually found this, as I did, it is still not a fun process.

A spammer is always a spammer and I don't think this is going to stop him. But it will definitely stop spam bots which are truly annoying! ^_^
I guess this filters out most of the spammers. Still don't think this is a proper way to solve a problem which could also be solved by tech means.
My first post , good idea about restrictions, still a bit unsure about bitcoins and creating mining them, i have a bit of reading to do!

these restrictions seem reasonable considering the irrational exuberance related to the hype surrounding the entity - combine that with the hype with regard to ASICS and the potential to scam/spam .
I've been registered a couple of weeks already. It's now time to come out of the shadows and de-lurk, I think.
