I find the arbitrary restrictions set on "newbies" to be mildly insulting.  I also find them to be a deterrent to participation.

Look at the post quality in the newbie section, and compare it with posts outside.

How is it insulting?

Maybe a quiz would be better

A Quiz on BitCoins, let's see:

Question 1:

Who made BitCoins?

1) Satoshi
2) Gorrilaz
3)I dunno
4)So painfully obvious.

Having a quiz is bad news. All of the questions would be easy to answer.

Do us newbies have to post in the pre-school here, to prove we know how to properly chat about bitcoin and other cryptocurrency??? It does seem a bit unfair, as some may know quite a bit, be developers and just recently joined such as myself. I joined a while back but I do not post much, as I rarely have too many questions. But, anyway, what is it that we need to do to speak in restricted forums??? Is it by the amount of posts or time. Any help appreciated because I have a post (wallet address) for the ripple giveaway discussion, and want to know a bit more too. Thanks.

Why are you doing this? Something is wrong with you bro. We're here to MAKE THE exchange, nothing more or less. Stop be so obnoxious!

I'm not trying to be obnoxious.  I just want to to generate some open dialog.  That's what makes a community great.
