In my personal opinion, no one will ever be the next Ethereum, so I don't think Polkadot will ever be the next Ethereum and of course Polkadot will only be Ethereum competitor, because Ethereum will always survive and be popular, therefore I think Ethereum will remain the king of all altcoin until whenever and no any altcoin can replace Ethereum (including Polkadot).
Is it possible ? yes, there is always a possibility in crypto but we also have to be realistic in understanding things like this because it is not easy to shift ethereum which until now there are still many who make lucrative investments. besides maybe there will be investors together to buy polka dots on a large scale so that they can increase. but do they also not think about the consequences if it is not fulfilled.

I think, all crypto enthusiasts here has different ideas about what is to be the next ethereum coin. However, in my own idea i think it's BNB would be the next ethereum since it's platform is taking a good pace just like ethereum, and also it has it's own blockchain the Binance Smart Chain, so i definitely thjnk that BNB would be the next ethereum coin possibly in the near future.
I think there is no such thing as the next Ethereum. Ethereum will always exist and there will be new technologies following it. Polkadot and a few similar projects can take Ethereum as an example, and this will benefit them. But promoting yourself as an 'Ethereum Killer' will only raise expectations and you will fail completely.
Yup, that's all we have been seeing, accepting it or not depends on each person's own point of view. I am a pro-ETH user, although I see its limitations at the moment compared to other platform projects, but really, ETH still has a complete position and market share in this market too very big.Although I also love DOT, articles like alternative comparisons really make no sense to me. I think the same that exactly Polkadot will be the next Ethereum. This chain was created precisely for building and developing projects on it. This blockchain uses not only one payment channel, but several, it means that it can run several transactions at the same time. It shows that Polkadot is scalable. I am sure that there will be many useful projects and platforms on it in the future.
I dislike any blockchain that makes user pay for creation of account, they literally put a huge fort behind their own ecosystem. Look at dot, those who were early users, they would have no problem but new users, they have to pay 1 dot, $40 just for creation!?
I don't think any project would want to be the next Ethereum every project wants to establish its own identity in the industry even if they are an upgrade of an existing platform, Binance just copied some features of Ethereum but they don't want to be associated with Ethereum and do not want to be called the next Ethereum because they have their own brand to enhance and promote.
from my point of view, then of course I choose BNB as the next ETH, because BNB is ranked 4th while ETH is ranked 2nd, so that makes BNB a tough competitor to ETH and has a chance to become the next ETH, although I personally support ETH and believe that ETH will always be the most popular of any altcoin.
It is still very difficult to happen to BNB because whatever BNB will develop to compete with ETH in the crypto space, ETH will still be where it is now because ETH also has its own development in the crypto space and BNB will remain BNB, as well as ETH, so the two of them will not interchange. Polkadot is one of the best platform in cryptocurrency and i have no doubt about that for DOT to become the next ETH. But, i prefer BSC will be the next ETH, if we see from overall perspective for fee, supporter, and the develop of BSC is very promissing.

BSC is faster and higher TPS than Ethereum, but you should keep in mind that Ethereum 2.0 has already launched and we're waiting for the final version. I think now all blockchain are competitors to each other where Ethereum is one step further. You also have to realize that you are not a god who can predict the future and if you say that many projects in BSC are trying to develop extraordinary systems, then you should also see that most of the projects on the ETH network are still surviving and successful until now and also has had a better development. They are still underrated but getting more recognition. You can use them to run nodes or to stake and even more. Looks like you don't know ETH very well, so on this occasion try to read about the history of ETH and its development until now, after that you can make a little comparison with DIVI, and see how it turns out.

everyone could called their favourite projects as the new ethereum, polkadot, solana , binance smart chain ,polygon was platform that have better feature than ethereum and many of cryptocurrency community said those as etherem killer or other terms. but personally i am prefer called my favourite project , HATHOR as ethereum competitors. It will not replace ethereum but it will make up for the shortcomings of the ethereum platform

What does "Next ETH" even mean? We have one ETH and that is being built right now and development is being poured into the code on an hourly basis. What else do we want? I am not sure I understand what the goal is of this discussion. Are you referring to the price and ask which coin makes 10,000 x? Or are you asking which coin will replace Ethereum?
