Yes, indeed, it's too slow for me too, I love Niro new feature and coding quality but we probably need more update with just one or two new feature. A big update with a lot on new feature is really too slow, community need to see day after day what is new.

I hope core 1.0.3 will be released realy soon with POS 3.0 and a lot of new fonctions

Pool CPU usage, would surely like to hear more about this one....

When searching for prime clusters the current algorithm for verifying primality requires to search on a +2 basis and break from the searching loop once a composite is found, or reset the counter once a prime is found to allow their minimum gap to be of +12, so in essence there are quite a few primes that need to be verified when submitting shares of size 3x or above which can be cpu consuming, so I have some optimizations that will reduce the overhead associated with eliminating primes to verify when checking primality of pool shares.

Thank You,

Alright I'll put priorities to finishing up PoS 3.0 and the Pool infrastructure. Have a way to optimize the pool CPU usage also down at by a factor of 6 Wink

1.0.0.3 needs to come first though, you have been talking about it since feb/mar.  Nobody expects recyclers yet, not until July/August at earliest, I think thats what I read.

Sounds good to me  Smiley

Thanks for the input,

I think there was a bug with the miner and Bitslapper is working on it.

I would like that miner too, when I was mining Niro I was getting 22mh per 750Ti with Djm's version.

This is another reason I want to get the recyclers going, as this will drastically reduce the buyer's ability to manipulate the prices as it is the buyers that are setting the market currently, but more competition and liquidity on the buy side of the market will force them out of their comfortable positions, to actually have to start paying for more of what the Niro is actually worth.

Thank You,
Viz.

Yes you can tell all exchanges that I am willing to personally e-mail them the source code as this is necessary for them to compile on their own servers.

I put in a request at all the exchanges I use at the beginning of the year and I know others did the same too.  I'd love to see Niro listed on Polo.  Trex is ok but there are so many shitcoins listed, there were all the scams last year and now the decreased history that hides the manipulation.  Unfortunately Niro is floating in a see of shit(coins) at Bittrex.

Hopefully other exchanges will 'soon come' as the features are released.  I know the source code not being public was/is an issue, but I'm sure Viz said he would be happy to discuss if approached by exchanges.

I agree concentrate on 1.0.0.3 first.

Another exchange would be good too, might help prevent some of the manipulation, which in my opinion is what is causing the price instability.

We were actually on the running list of another exchange, not sure what happened to that one.

first we need a fully operational money with GPU/CPU pool with web UI and web site with all information needed.
Core 1.0.3 have to be launched before we start and probably core 2.0.x and after we can start recycling. Now we have highly technologie close to fully be ready but we need a little more.

Some news about new exchange ? Bitslaper CUDAminer ? GPU pool?

The decay equations do help with price stability but more long term. As far as now I've been watching the markets for about 6 months seeing how bubbles tend to take form, and I've noticed it to be a weakness on the buy side, where someone drives the price up on the sell side, and the buy liquidity doesn't come to match up so the price just falls back down to the highest bid once someone makes a sale.

The way the recyclers would work is someone can make a purchase of X Niro to the recyclers at a fixed price set by lowest sell order, which will allow produced BTC to be transferred into the exchanges and used to build up more buy support so that the impulse buyers get their coins at a better price without driving the price up, but it can slowly increase the price as more and more BTC are put into buy liquidity. Once someone sells onto the Recycler buys, the Niro purchased will be transferred back to the recyclers keeping the system moving.

Was thinking at least for starters to load up one of the 13 recycler keys and see what happens with a basic system, but so far over the past 2 weeks we could have at least 10-20 BTC in buy support just from the instant buys that drive up the price, this would mean that the liquidity would be maintained, and the price would continue a slow rise as more and more BTC are produced and put into buy support.

Let me know,

Seeing all these instant buys I'm really starting to think it would be wise to get the recyclers moving.

This would allow "impulse" buyers to purchase at a fixed rate without driving up the sell side, which will in turn push up the buy side which will help us maintain price stability and slowly increase price rather than watching constant up / downs.

Anyone else agree?

Thank You,
Viz.

Definitely an interesting theory. Although I thought that just by the curve itself by the daily coin reduction per block would take care of the price stability thing as I think you mentioned some time back?

Although it would be good to see it in action.
