First time I have seen these types of promotions. The rules seem a bit confusing to me. Is this like a knockout tournament? I thought football was played over one season against each other or do they make it differently for this time? If I join the pools later on, will it still be available or is the deadline tomorrow?

Yes it is a knockout contest. The deadline is today.

Im also in it.
Its very interesting competition that makes you also think in long term because you cant pick the same team twice.
I make a lot of researches before I pick a team for the following week.

This was the confusing thing for me but I think I understand the concept now. If you pick a good team that you know must win, then you can move on to following round and so on but if you reach the final and that team is there then you won't win because you cannot pick it again. So, the strategy is clear to me. You have to risk the beginning rounds to make it into the middle. If you survive to the end you can pick the winner.

I know one more free pool from the sportsbook subreddit. They use the same system from Nitrogen's nfl survivor pool too bad it's already closed now. link of the thread. There's another nfl pool from anybet they were giving out free entries 3weeks ago here but now it'll only cost you 0.0001 to enter.  My early pick right now is for the Patriots to win on Thursday against the Chiefs.

There's a NFL pick em' contest hosted on SBR (sports book review) forum every year which pays out something like $40,000 in prizes. Its known as their "beat the prick" competition.

@ sportsbookreview.com

I think to be eligible to win prizes from the contest a person needs to pay $100 for membership which comes with a number of perks in terms of the site hosting prizes which can be redeemed for sbr points.

Nice links, thanks for sharing!

I'm not in the least well-versed with NFL but no one can watch Hollywood without knowing some of the big names in American Football. As you can't pick the same team for following weeks, I'm going to go on tight bookie odds for my first few rounds, leaving the "giants" towards the end. I like the pickings for the very evenly matched Cardinals vs Lions so my first week's pick will be Arizona Cardinals. It's one of the first games also, so I'll find out very quickly if I'm around for Round 2!

Also guys, the Bitcoinrush free pool needs your picks by Thursday 5pm EDT so don't forget to lock in your picks.

There are several NFL survior pools. Let`s talk about our picks every week.

Here is a list of the two free pools I found:

Bitcoinrush

Nitrogen

Do you know any more free pools?

My main Survivor pick of the week is Philly to beat Washington. I think Washington could have a rough start of the season, and maybe a horrible season overall. I think Philly can win the division.
