i have a bug report with the newest version. 1.7.3.3.

i have a couple of rx 480s in a pc.. its running both equihash and daggerhashimoto at the same time. one on GPU1 and one on GPU2..

not sure why, they should be the same?

edit i guess it was just temporary, they both are now on daggerhashimoto. i guess its intended to run both gpus independent?

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

 I want to try mining it using my laptop is this can be profitable for me? Thanks in any info about it.
About mining using the laptop, you should not continue mining from your laptop as it will possibly destroy the hardware even if you use nicehas miner.

those usb laptop coolers that you put under the laptop can help with temps, just make sure one of the coolers fans are near or at the laptops intake.

still might cook it but i have had good luck with them.

Undeads.com - P2E Runner Game
You guys really rock!
The new 0.4 nheqminer runs extremely well along with the 1.7.3 Nicehash Miner, although it crashes every once in a while still.
But never made as much with my rig as with that combo.

Thanks for the quick fix! The parameters in the new version 1.7.3.3 is now working fine.
Anyway, I spotted another bug, but I think it's just very very minimal, it's in benchmarking; while the benchmark is still running then if you suddenly stop it (by clicking the Stop button), benchmarking is still running in the background.

I'm having problems compiling nheqminer from the latest git for CUDA_TROMP on Mint 17 (Ubuntu 14.04).

First the COMPUTE= option does not appear to work. I had to edit the config to remove references to compute_61
which is unsupported on my system (Cuda 7.5).

After that I get this...

Code:
[  5%] Building NVCC (Device) object CMakeFiles/nheqminer_cuda_tromp.dir/__/__/cuda_tromp/nheqminer_cuda_tromp_generated_equi_miner.cu.o
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/include/stddef.h(432): error: identifier "nullptr" is undefined
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/include/stddef.h(432): error: expected a ";"
/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/c++/4.8/bits/c++config.h(190): error: expected a ";"
/usr/include/c++/4.8/exception(63): error: expected a ";"
/usr/include/c++/4.8/exception(68): error: expected a ";"
/usr/include/c++/4.8/exception(76): error: expected a ";"

It appears to be an issue with nvcc and gcc 4.8 similar to this...

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/745106/nvcc-c-11-standard-in-cuda-frontend-dependencies-gcc-windows-vs-linux-/

Is there a simple fix or workaround?

The readme is wrong about the compute parameter it should be -DCOMPUTE=21 for sm21 for example. Will update readme. Also currently the cmake files are scattered into different cmake files for different builds (main reason for this is it was easier since Linux got very unstable with NVIDIA and AMD drivers/SDKs), but in the near future it will be merged.
So Ubuntu 14.04 (Mint 17), gcc 4.8 and CUDA 7.5 are giving errors. I will check this and also make updates to the cmake files since many people are getting errors.

is it possible payout with zcash address?

Only if you mine zcash.nicehash.com.

If you are using nicehash miner, of course no. You can only use bitcoin address on this because the altcoins mined using nicehash is automatcally converted to bitcoin. You can use miners that is directly paying to an altcoin address outside this thread.
Thats also what i understand about nicehash the mine coin will be converted to btc since the add that we provided is only btc. just wanted to know if using this miner can mine much better zcash ? I want to try mining it using my laptop is this can be profitable for me? Thanks in any info about it.
ZCash is the most profitable altcoin to mine currently.
But, profitabilty is mostly determined by the hardware you are using to mine coins.
About mining using the laptop, you should not continue mining from your laptop as it will possibly destroy the hardware even if you use nicehas miner.
You can use cheap or second hand desktop PC components, just be sure that it is at least in the minimum required by nicehash miner.

I do not think so. The ZCash address transaction has a fundamental problem. It needs protocol update.

Equihash algo uses a lot of RAM, so it is normal.

Equihash mining may not work on such an old GPU.

Ah, I see, thanks for the clarification, I guess I have to continue the cryptonight mining using my GPU

Anyways, here I am again with another problem, but this time, it's for the new version which is v1.7.3.2

As you can see, I set the Less Thread in the setting and the extra parameter, but it is not working. The Less Thread setting is working properly in version 1.7.3.1, and now both are not working anymore in the new version.

Please fix it or am I missing something?

Thanks!

has anyone got a success compiling and running this stuff?
https://github.com/nicehash/nheqminer/tree/Windows_silentarmy

Nope, everytime I try I get 0 I/s and 0 Sols/s but VS2013 says it completed successfully

I've been trying to get my rig running with no luck.  As soon as I try to benchmark my GPUs, windows crashes, blue screen (SYSTEM_EXCEPTION error message), windows reboots.  I've tried turning down power to all GPUs first -10 using MSI Afterburner, then -20 and still crashes.  I tried only benchmarking equihash, but same thing.

Rig Setup:

Windows 10 Pro
(3) R9 390
(2) Rx 470
(1) R9 380
3.3Ghz Intel CPU
4GB Ram

This rig mines perfectly ETH on another GUI miner, but I'd prefer Nicehash Miner as I have it running on all my CPUs.  Please any suggestions, thank you.

*Update*  I got it to benchmark!  I read up and found a suggestion of using AMD Driver 15.12.  I installed in and 4 of my GPUs are working, the 470s are down. Any suggestions?  Thank you.

*Update2* Benchmark finished but not completely.  I attempted to run the miner, but nothing happened.  I reinstalled AMD latest drivers and back to the drawing board, lol.

 The 15.12 drivers PREdate the release of the RX 4xx series, and won't work at all with those cards.
 Unfortunately, the newer 16.xx drivers do NOT work real well or real reliably with older cards.
 I'd recommend NOT mixing those 2 generations of card, tends to have low stability even when you CAN get it to work at all.

 The equihash algorythm that ZEC uses also seems to be a lot more CPU/main memory intensive than ETH was, I've found it's a lot more stable to NOT run CPU and GPU mining on the same ZEC rig, or at least don't try to mine on ALL the cores of a multi-core CPU that also has multiple GPUs installed in the system.

 Reminds me a lot of building Folding@Home rigs, where you NEED to reserve some CPU or it just don't work for beans (which may be why most of the Folding rigs I moved over to ZEC have been stable).

 GTX 650 might not have enough RAM to run ZEC, or it might not have a up-to-date enough CUDA version. That's a pretty old card.

Good day NiceHash!

May I ask, is nheqminer supposed to be this way?

https://i.imgur.com/Mj8xQhy.png

It also hogs resources from the memory?

It is, if you have CPU mining enabled.
But the previous algo for CPU mining I used like lyra2re and cryptonight didn't used RAM resources while it's mining via CPU.
Anyway, I can't use my GPU, the benchmark for equihash under GPU is not running, everytime I ran the benchmark for equihash, it just quits, I don't know what's the problem, my GPU is an old GeForce GTX 650.

As you can see, after the benchmark, the speed for equihash is still none.
