my nvidia experience told me to keep temps in 55 degrees, in that case you can overclock to high without loosing stability. If you cannot afford this temps - lower your clocks and tdp limits.

i don't think you will kill it, as long as the temp are fine, longevity it's primarily about temp

whats the reccomended temps? i saw before some posters indicating that nvidia cards are better in the 60-65C range, whereas ATI is can handle the 70-75C. but tbh id assume bot can run up close to 80 without any issues (besides wearing the fans out over time)

with LBRY ive been keeping the Strix 1070 at about 1960core/8370mem/62C/70%fan but might try to shift it towards 1990core/8500mem/67C/65%fan if thats safe for the card and perhaps better for fanlife (and might offer 2-3% faster hashrates) My current settings are 241MH on lbry, and similar settings for lyra2r2 gave me about 38.5MH

On my MSI GTX 1070, temp is 65C and fan at 50%

Lyra2rev is 25mhs

is that good?

no really bad, should be 40MH, you are using an old miner, checks nanashi miner

temp are good, but mine are the same with 42% fan speed

what changes can i make in Nicehash miner to make my GTX 1070 go faster. Am using latest Geforce drivers

you should be able to get ~36MH stock with the newer nicehash or cc miner. overclocking should push easily to 38-39, and 40-41 is doable if you have a good card+cooling

yeah getting 38MH/s in gaming mode. I was on silent mode before. Not going Over Clock Mode though, don't want to kill my brand new MSI GTX 1070

ok disabled silent mode and switched to gaming mode (over clock mode will kill life span of card)

getting 38mh/s on lyra2rev

Hi,
It is working for older Nvidia card GTX 770? Thank you for this nice update!!
I'm running NHM 1.6.1.2 in PCs using only GTX 650, so it should definitely work, though NeoScrypt algo is not supported on nVidia 3.x and below, but it still working.

Why does my GPU fan speed go to ~100% even with a temperature below 80ºC when mining Lyra2Rev2 and Neoscrypt? Its GPU fan speed is set to automatic only when mining Dagger-Hashimoto, but I'm unable to mine Lyra2Rev2 and Neoscrypt because of the annoying noise and also because I get worried of the GPU fan lifespan. My graphics card is HIS R9 280X IceQ Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E DLDVI-I/HDMI/2xMini DP.

Please note that mining on GPUs utilizes 100% of your GPU card and will make GPU very hot. This is unavoidable. You can disable NiceHash Miner application control over your fan by setting "DisableAMDTempControl" to true in the config file or Config settings ... see here: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#options

Ok, thank you. I discovered that the fan lifespan is not a big deal, because it's originally built for running at 100% anyway...

One more question: is there a plan for making a linux binary soon? I bet numerous people would love to have the opportunity of using your app through Linux - me included.

Hi,

In theory it should work for all of those type of GPUs.
They don't usually cancel suppot from an old GPU when adding it for a new one, it will appear as gpu hardware and your gpu driver will be able to convert the data sent to it for hashing on the GPU!
There's a CPU id file in the source code which gets the data of the cpu and gpu and other hardware connected to the computer that can be used for mining.
