BREAKING: EFCC intercepts N32.4 million Cash meant for Vote-Buying in Lagos

A massive operation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to deter vote trading and other financial malfeasance ahead of tomorrow's presidential and national assembly elections may have begun paying dividends with the interception in Lagos of the sum of N32, 400,000 (Thirty-two Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira) allegedly suspected to be used for vote buying in Lagos. The recovery was made by operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Commission.

The suspect involved has been taken into custody for further questioning

This is a real fact, the monetary policy can never stop the vote buying because the monetary policy is only working here in Nigeria, what about the money they have stored in abroad? this politicians are ready to buy the vote with dollars and they can travel to abroad before the election and loaded their bags with dollars,and like we all know that the present government have starve people the point some people have no option than to survive for the the first and are ready to take bribe from any candidate who may wish to buy their vote,but nevertheless it is not advisable,but we must say the truth.the monetary policy can't stop the vote buying..

I don't know if this money was during the PDP primaries but this is what Buhari and CBN governor was trying to achieve by introducing the new naira note because these guys have stacked billions of naira to buy their way into public offices. Have you guys ever asked yourself these questions? Fuel subsidity, fuel scarcity, ASUU strike, unemployment, bad roads etc. and our politicians didn't take it to supreme court. Because the new redesigned naira notes affects them, they quickly took it to supreme court as if they care about the masses.

That was primaries and not a general election, the use of dollars no go work for general election as people no go gree accept am self.
