With Segwit now locked in on Litecoin, Bitcoin just broke above $1,300. Could be the start of a big move.

The Bitoin price in China looks different (suppressed bc of crypto withdrawal issues). CNY 8,000 seems to be the price to watch.

What is keeping the price propped up and why will it not crash? This all seems so weird to me... The same thing with the alt coins, it makes no sense...

Because Bitcoin is designed to keep increasing in value.

Scarcity is programmed in and worldwide adoption is an ongoing affair.

There's no reason to expect a crash. Sorry, traditional technical analysis doesn't apply.

What the hell are you even talking about? In TA thread none the less.

"Bitcoin will increase in value, because it was designed to increase in value." This coming from a member, who joined back in 2013... I think, I am going to short on maximum leverage. If I ever saw bearish sign, this is it. And decreasing volume. And paralyzed China. And insolvent Finex.

How's that maximum-leveraged short doing?  Roll Eyes

#waitingfor$800

I'd jump all over $1100 at this point but I don't think that's gonna happen.

$800? Pffft.

Risk-Wary Banks Chill Bitcoin Market
At least three exchanges have said in recent weeks they can’t process transactions in dollars

#exitpump. BTC can only go up. Bears are locked up in a cage rightnow. I fear the day when the banksters are going to free the bears.

Followed for quite a while. I started with an older wall observer thread. Over the years I have picked out a few good people to follow and learn more.

So I follow these peoples threads..

Yourself,
Masterluc,
Chessnut,
Wall observer up to the last 3 pages only, so much noise there now.

Oh and some XMR threads as that is where my coins sit at the moment.

So these are the main threads I follow.

I love learning but I have no money for endless courses and qualifications. Next best thing is the hunt for knowledge.

Thanks again,

Phil

What, with all that drama no one follows a level-headed analysis by lucif any longer? Wink

BTC followed perfectly both bullish wedge and bullish divergences, as I predicted before.

What may come next? Wave structure suggests a completing diagonal turning into a bearish wedge peaking around 1500. After that, a retest of 1000 level is quite possible.

It is beginning to look like the Bitcoin train may be running out of steam for now.

That confirmed divergence between momentum (RSI) and price is a raging screaming sell signal, and bear in mind this a WEEKLY chart. Still lots of room to manoeuvre in both directions. Bitcoin could pop a little higher yet, but on the broader longer term scale, this is a very bearish looking chart. For long term holders, time to start taking profits. For those who have come late to the game and aren't super sharp trader sharks. Now is probably time to just get out of Bitcoin.

It would be great to combine a volume based indicator with this chart, but all the exchanges volume figures are tainted, inaccurate, or compromised in one way or another, thus volume based technical studies for Bitcoin can't really be done on large time frames such as Weekly candle intervals.

Roach, Matt, are you both still sure about your predictions of some major correction in BTC?
