Yes, it doesn't work in the Post Title field. But why not use the search the way I used?
Because not every reply or post content might contain the keyword I am looking for (in this case it's a domain)
Just see for yourself. The search results count when you use MegaEther.co as an example are completely different on the Post content field vs Title content field

You can use the "*" symbol (like this MegaEther*) in the "Post Title" field if you don't remember the domain name. You will get the same result if you enter the full name of the site with the domain MegaEther.co. in the "Post Title" field. The output will give you the same 35 mentions of the site with the domain.

I just checked by typing in just MegaEther without the domain and got a list of 15 posts that mention the word.
As mentioned above by Bitcoin_Arena, he was talking about post title, not post content.

And note that even if we search for post content, that's still the same.
All the posts displayed in your search result contain the word MegaEther. If you search for MegaEther, it wouldn't give you the posts that contain MegaEther.co and don't contain "MegaEther".

You can search for the word you are looking for in the "Post Contetnt" field. Then you will get what you are looking for. Including topics that contain this word in their title. I just checked by typing in just MegaEther without the domain and got a list of 15 posts that mention the word. And your post is at the top of the list. The first forum mention of this MegaEther in this thread.
I purposely said post title search space and not post content search space.

Check again.

Something I noticed

Let's say I wanted to search about an announcement of MegaEther.co but then I don't quite remember the extension, so I type only in the post title search space and hit the search button. I will receive no results at all.
It's not until I type the whole domain as part of the post title  that I will see the results.

I think the domain name even without the extension should be able to pull up results. Those who want an exact match can use the quotes to wrap the full domain name

I just wanted to say this is a fantastic utility and I use it probably more than any other Bitcointalk utility out there (although BPIP and loyce.club are also both extremely useful). It makes it super easy to research stuff for my own projects as well as stuff I do on the forum and I appreciate the fact that @TryNinja has kept it going all this time. Kudos to you sir for a job well done.

Thanks! I was not aware that the issue had already been reported in other threads. I really hope that the CloudFlare problem gets resolved quickly because I would really hate if ninjastic.space go offline. Maybe theymos could consider making an exception for scrapers so they can access the site regardless of CloudFlare?

Cloudflare on the forum is blocking scrapers, mine can't do anything either Sad
Once in a while Cloudflare goes into impossible-mode. To test: visit the forum in a private browser window, if you see Cloudflare, scrapers won't work.

Hey @TryNinja, just wanted to give you a heads up that your bot seems to have taken a break from scraping pages since yesterday. The last post it scraped was #62522464. Not sure if this has anything to do with the ongoing lag issue on bitcointalk, but thought you should know.

Not just Ninjastic Space but also Loyce Club too. Where are you Bot?

Interesting, Loyce club is not archiving: http://loyce.club/archive/topics/545/5459232.html
Ninjastic Space is not archiving too: https://ninjastic.space/topic/5459232

You’re right, I have no idea how I (or anybody else) never noticed that.

Acknowledging it but can’t do anything to fix it now for reasons already disclosed on the other thread (rip my PC and now I’m also back traveling). Seems like most people just type it case-perfectly.
I have been following it since long time. I think long ago I noticed it and I thought it was designed such way so I never thought to inform you or make a post about it LOL

I am not sure if this issue has been mentioned before, but the search option under username is case-sensitive and does not show up results if a person inputs the wrong one

For example
If I type in "vod" instead of "Vod" or "bitcoin_arena" instead of "Bitcoin_Arena"
This is what I get

Quote
This user could not be found on our database.

I don't know if this is by design but since there can only be one username with the same characters, then I think case sensitivity should be relaxed

One more idea: The user requests that a particular post has constant monitoring, to create a history of edits.

Some posts are edited multiple times over time. Having a record of that could be interesting, to understand how this post evolved.

Not a bad idea, it would be specially useful for those who wish to follow an ANN to see if any significant change of rules or progress have taken place from the moment of the creation of the thread.

Actually, that's not a bad idea at all. It could prove useful in certain situations.

But wouldn't it require constantly scraping the same post over and over again? I'm not entirely sure how web scraping works, but I guess it requires certain computer resources and data traffic. What if this feature gets abused? Since Ninjastic.space doesn't require any registration, someone could maliciously request monitoring for hundreds or thousands of posts. That would definitely cause difficulties for the stable operation of the entire system.

Hey, @TryNinja, I think this could be a cool idea for a premium feature! Making it exclusive to members who pay a small fee or subscribe monthly could be a great way to offer extra value. What do you think?

I would have no problem if TryNinja started to implement some premium features which would require the person to have the status of donator, at least for a single one-time fee.

I can only guess how much money it costs to keep a bot like this one up for so much time.
I am not expert on post scrapping either, but I think that checking for edits every 12 hours should me more than enough of most of necessities of anyone who may want to keep an eye on the Original post of a Thread.

It's a lot of work so I need to find some time and motivation to work on this stuff, though. Tongue

I hope some merits give you some more motivation.  Roll Eyes

I think this is a glitch or bug of ninjastic.space website. I have also noticed it for a long while, Today I came to this thread to ask is something happened to the Ninjastic website, I see above that already one has mentioned this issue.
I plan to fix this, but since there is a workaround (using the search page), it's not my priority right now. I was also working on a new ninjastic.space website, which is why the website hasn't gotten any love recently.

The whole edit tracking idea is something I definitely wanted to work on. I would probably add a button to each post page allowing anyone to force a "rescrape" at any time.

It's a lot of work so I need to find some time and motivation to work on this stuff, though. Tongue

I am afraid though, that is feature that could take some big effort and time to make a reality, specially we if that interaction between Ninjastic register and forum is supposed to be handled/received to a handheld device.

Eager to read what OP thinks about this proposal and whether he will work on it or not.

@TryNinja Boss kindly take a look at this issue.

@Crypto Library brother, I can't get any update yet from here. I hope it will solve very soon or I have a question for my senior users on this forum, "Do you familiar anyone with any other tools like this?"

I hope @TryNinja Boss will give the solution very soon because it's a very much helpful tool for this forum.

Here's a temporary solution you can try while waiting for TryNinja to fix the issues. Visit this link: https://ninjastic.space/search?topic_id=631891. On the right side of the screen, select the "Users" tab and click on the "generate" button. This should give you a list of all the users who have ever participated in that topic.

You also have the option to apply filters for a specific time period, which can come in handy when generating monthly reports, for example.
