Updated with a bit more staking and a withdrawal.

EDIT: In reviewing the accounting on the latest withdraw I noticed some minor rounding errors (<0.0001 CLAM) in the share amounts. The CLAM amounts are not affected, at least not by a significant amount if at all. I'll clean that up when I get a chance. The error cropped in when I moved the official record from the thread to a spreadsheet that calculates running share amounts and values automatically, instead of rounding each time as I was doing before.

Updated staking, though a bit later than usual.

Unfortunately we had a bit of downtime on the node. By the time I noticed it and was able to restart, we missed about something like 18 hours of staking.

To help make up for the loss I have donated 10 CLAMs to the pool. As a reminder, "donations" (as opposed to "tips") add to staking and benefit all pool members.

CLAMour petitions appear to be live.

Currently the pool is abstaining.

Here is a (partial?) list of active petitions: http://txti.es/clamour

You may express your preferences via PM or via posting.

There is some support for ff839af9 (CLTV opcode update) via PM, but not enough for the pool to support. No other petitions have any expressed support from pool members.

Here is the current pool policy regarding the CLAMour petitions:

Petitions

If you are invested in the pool and wish to express support for on-chain petitions, you will need to PM me. The pool staking blocks will abstain from all petitions unless there is a 75% majority of all pool shares in favor (this number is deliberately set high to limit the extent to which other participants' shares are voted in favor of petitions they may not support). You will have to trust my accounting of pool member support, although you are welcome to reveal your own preferences publicly if you like. If enough people do this then the my accounting can be audited.

If you disagree with the pool supporting or not supporting various petitions you may withdraw your shares, but the rule about excessive transactions still applies, so please do not do so on a whim. Remember, at present the pool is only about 1% of the network stake share so it doesn't matter that much how or if we vote.

Updated staking. Down a bit after the withdrawals, and stake weight on the network is up as well. Current average about one stake every 3 hours.

Any idea why the last two staked totals you credited are both x.99y?

Seems a little strange.

It's explained two posts back. The transaction fees for the two withdrawals were absorbed out of staking income. Of course, we earn transaction fees on staked blocks too.

Updated with staking and one more withdraw. Staking income is net of tx fee paid on the previous withdraw. Eventually these will be charged to the individual withdrawal but the amount is negligible and it is easier to do absorb it in the pool for now.

Donations and Tips

I would like to clarify the issue of donations and tips, and make clear another option to help decentralize the network.

Going forward:

Donation = goes into the pool and counts as an addition to staking. By making donations to the pool you increase everyone's pool return and incentivize staking CLAMs on the pool, helping to decentralize the network

Tips = goes to the pool operator as appreciation for the service provided, helps cover costs of operating the pool (which currently has no management fee)

I will be editing the ledger above to clarify that the two "donations" received were actually "tips".

Both TIPS and DONATIONS are always welcome and appreciated.

Updated. We're staking on average a bit less than every 2 hours now since more of the recently-dug CLAMs are now being staked so netstakeweight has gone up.

Updated staking. A bit slow in the last day with only 8 CLAMs staked, due to luck. We're still about 1% of the network, staking on average more than every 2 hours.
