Strangers don't have any good intent for you when they PM you first, internet is now full of scammers who pretend to have something good to offer but that's all lies, become the boss of yourself do not listen to strangers or receive any private messages from them.

This is the truth because when they started to approached you via email or pm, you need to be alarmed and automatically consider it a scam right away because they already calculated and have all the recipes once you reply to their message and you might even think that they were the best man in the world while they were acting. When they knew their victim is simple-minded, that's when they let you do things that you aren't even aware of it being scammed. The best thing to do is ignore and delete the message once you receive such kinds of offers.

No social media is safe
In social media, everything is not safe and can be dangerous, it is open enough for everyone who wants to see our profile and also to interact with us.
That is why we should have more control over our own social media, by setting the privacy and also make a certain settings in order to limit the chance of scammers and also we only limit for friendship with only friends that we know.

i contacted the customer service again they also demanded for more money, At this moment i absolutely knew that I have been scammed.
One point to always note for us, never trust anyone that we know from social media, except that we exactly know them in real life, we must also still be careful about it. Moreover when someone is offering something, not only investment but also products, themselves, photos, identity and many more that they may give us. Moreover if this si related to a kind of investment. I will ignore everyone who invites me to invest soemthing from social media information. Better to be more and more careful

From your experience with the man you just met on Facebook and the next thing to come to your mind is to be your saviour (God sent) helper,  this is a wrong approach as things are not done all of a sudden, you can't expect someone you're yet to build a quality relationship with just decided to help you within a little space of time you met come on.... That's a suspicious act and if one is not careful  will end up being a victim of scam, many has been a victim of such people because they tend to prove been smarter or to quickly  grab advantage,  scams come in different ways and techniques, watch out.
We're on the internet days and this type of scam will never be gone.

A sad approach to those victims by these scams that they're too quick to believe what they've been told about. That's why, someone has to educate himself on what he's tackling about specifically in cryptocurrencies.

You can have someone to teach you what you lack of but that doesn't mean that you can never learn on your own.

Well every known social media platform there is indeed legit, but the problem is those who reside in the Marketplace side of the social media. I am not sure if Twitter has like sort of "Marketplace" section like Facebook but in Facebook, there's just plenty of them and it isn't all just crypto-related stuff. Even in the part of selling physical goods, there are those who are highly skilled in PS and you just can't use Google Image search/Google Lens to see if the item being sold is even legit.

the answer can be in my opinion social media is little bit safe while going with these restrictions  with privacy if we doesnt put any posts and doesnt update any information and even doesnt update any status too it seems little bit safe bcoz no information is real according to our knowledge
I do not agree, in my opinion most social media platforms aren't concerned about your privacy, as a matter of fact, they are even created to somewhat ensure you do not have a private life by linking you up with friends and people who may know you, just as facebook does for example. And mind you that it doesn't even matter if you post or not, the information they request from you upon registering is usually enough for them to know who you are.
but if scammers and hackers enterd it seems worst and totally unsafe .if they doesnt enters all will be ok
There is no way to prevent scammers from joining a social media platform as there is no way to identify them as scammers when they are registering, the onus is on the user to do their research, verify who is communicating with them, and shun greed.

Every legit social media platforms are safe if you

1. Don't reply strangers PM.
2. Don't click on random links.
3. Don't FOMO on projects on Twitter and telegram, instead do your own research.
4. Don't plan on doubling your money just because someone said it's possible.

Social media users are the ones walking into traps themselves.

Social media is the fastest and easiest way to spread scams and sell conviencing scam projects or intents. When it comes to investment depending on a random person in an online platform to make investment is likened to throwing funds into the lagoon. If an investment looks legit enough avoid using a link sent to you on social media rather try confirming the site using Google search and also read about their mission statements

You don't have to trust anybody you meet on the internet no matter how nice they are to you, hope the amount you invested in the site is not really much and also the amount you paid to unlock your account is not really much. I will definitely blame you for everything that happened because why don't you do research about the site which he asked you to invest in and also why will you trust the person you meet on the internet.

Re: No social media is safe
The correct statement should be "No place is safe".
It is correct we understand this sad reality that no place is safe. In your immediate environment, even the few friends you could look upto are not safe. Do not depend, do not rely on anyone to make money. They will not do it for you, it is only your trusted friends and relatives that will give you necessary information to make money and you will work your way out. What you need is genuine information and not invest in so so platform.
.
No place is safe at all but Social media is worst because the person you trust can decide to deactivate his/her Social media account after the scamming strategy works very fine,  be deactivating of his/her account their wont be any way for the person to be reached again through social media.

Everywhere is not safe so we need to double our security do not give our trust easily in new sites like what kingsden said even your friend or  best friend is not safe cause money can change your decision example if you gave them an big amount of money to gamble or anything what you want to. But as a human we are all sinners and the temptation is there, and other person saw a huge amount of money they commit a sin. Like in social media there are many scammers now adays.
Yes, everything is not totally safe but social media is the worse of it all and I am surprised that the OP just understands this fact because social media is never safe right from the beginning.
Meanwhile, trusting an outsider's investment advice is bad when people are always to always dyor first and the worst part is the OP didn't ask questions about this issue after the person makes her create an account on this forum.

Social media can be useful for us but also there are reasons to be hesitant to use it.   Privacy or lack there of privacy being the first reason why I am careful with Social media.
But it is also part of many daily lives and part of society.  So I think to be anti social media isnt right but just be careful cause it's not safe and proven.

from your story what i focus on is that you not met him in person but you dare to invest your money in that person. even though you feel  comfortable with him but please don't trust strangers, especially regarding financial investments and this will be your experience for the future

As a matter of fact, you have to be pretty naïve and gullible to fall for these kinds of scams.

There are always going to be scam artists out there. They will find new ways to obtain and use your information. They will find new ways to get you to do things you might not otherwise do. This type of scam is actually quite common and has existed for a long before social media sites became a popular part of the online world. And these types of scams will continue as long there are greedy, immoral, impulsive, gullible, or just plain dumb individuals out there seeking easy ways to make money. So, in that sense, it’s likely that you are going to have to deal with such scammers in some form or fashion for the rest of your life.

These scammers will never stop so only we have to be careful with our actions, here the scammers earned your trust and scammed your money so never trust anyone even if the person so close to you when it comes to money matters, make the decisions by yourself.
Scammers have many dimensions of deceiving people and especially newbies that needs instant money and multiplication of finance, what normally lead's them to scam platform is greedy of making more than capital via trading investment, how can op continues to fund account someone created and at the same time someone will be persuading you to fund an account and you continue to dance the person's tune, what i will tag his level of scamming is ignorant, because everyone is smart enough for online platform investment that you don't know the profile of the platform, I don't think such is still in existence.
