Questions asked are not answered by moderators or admins. Questions are answered by the community. The name of the forum is bitcointalk but we have altcoins board as well and you can discuss about any altcoin. But when no one is interested in what you are discussing about, you can do nothing.
Also, no one in the forum has a duty to answer a question or reply to a post. So, if they are not interested in a topic or a board, they don't visit that. No one can force a user to visit a board.
There are many knowledgeable users in the forum that help others. But they avoid some boards due to huge amount of spam in those boards.

Giving a final statement:

The DOGE question was placed in the only place here that is about DOGE -> ANN thread

The BCH questions was placed in own thread because it interest me and in ANN thread

I think the main reason is that Altcoin fans mostly dont use this forum.

The altcoin section is truely bad managed.

You could split it up in Top 5  , Top 20 and maybe rest Altcoins. And also this confused ANN section should be divided.
But the Forum Admins dont care about alt....

The name of the forum is bitcointalk.

It is btc first and formost.

Bch may have a developmental penalty placed on it. May not it is not certain.

As for doge I use a ledger wallet for my 500,000 doge.

Part of what you are not understanding is 20% of the posts are made.to earn via an advertiser using a signature space of a poster.
And again the discussion is running in part "my coin is the best"

Its named bitcointalk because at is foundation there was only bitcoin. And see what arrogance BTCare again claiming.

I dont use hardware wallets because they are not usable for daily purposes. Only for HODL

Anyway mods please close this thead.

Already many members replied why you didn't get answers for your question.

Don't see a bad thing when there are more good things you can get from forum, surely you will get clear answer for your questions but maybe not instantly for every question asked.

If you met with the same issue in future try move your thread to other sections or just PM someone who has knowledge about your question, surely you will get help and support.

1) the worse one: nobody interested in answer such questions

The worst would be someone giving wrong or outdated information, and it happens frequently here
If you're looking for a doctor they will give you the baker's address with a long explanation full of shit just to make their post longer. So far you can't cure a fever with a croissant.
Either you know what you're talking about or just don't post, isn't it?

That first post was in an ANN thread with 1488 pages in the altcoin section and it had to do with doge--I could have predicted it wouldn't get a response.  That's about the only thing you can expect in a thread like that.

The second post did get a few responses, but they sounded like they didn't understand what you were trying to say, and that might be a little bit of a language barrier.  But in general when you're expecting responses from posts that aren't in your thread, don't bother unless it's in the mining or technical section or Meta.  And if it's your own thread, be as clear as you can possibly be if you're looking for specific information--and even then it depends on which section that thread is in.  All of the altcoin sections are spammy, as is Bitcoin Discussion.

Welcome to bitcointalk, OP.  Looks like you're having much the same reaction I had when I joined.

Relax, even some of my questions in the common subforums have been left unanswered.

Basically the more technical it is, the longer it takes for someone to answer. Like some have mentioned, I don't own DOGE, let alone use them so I can't reply to that.

Its seems that apart from discussion "my coin is the best coin" the forum seems to be less helpfull.

I made 2 normal questions last view weeks and they are not very special. None of them was answered.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53698719

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53695593

There are 3 options for me:

1) the worse one: nobody interested in answer such questions

2) the better one: nobody knows the answer

3) less people use this forum thats reason for 1 and 2

I dont know which is right for 2737309 users

I answered the second question just now.

The answer is vague since the plan is still vague. I think as of today it is not certain to happen only proposed.

As OP's questions, even these things such as Merit/sMerit, thread bump V2.0, myips.php etc are lost in the sea of info here. There are quite a lot of things to take into consideration. Many information, many details, many cases.
The thread with the "unofficial rules" has ~5700 words. Donno, might be a good idea to break them down to smaller bite size pieces. Easier to digest that way.
A bullet point FAQ, something that does not resemble a big scary block of text.
Just an opinion

Maybe you can take a look at this thread: Merit - simple poll on operational fundamentals. You somehow seem to be considering the first option on the poll to be the valid answer, but read through and you’ll swicth to going with the majority.

The amount of merit you've earned does not decrease by giving merit to someone else.

Many members still don't seem to understand the merit system here. I wrote an article for my blog about the  merit system from the perspective of a merit source. I wrote it about a year ago. and maybe I need to review it to see if there are any changes required. If you want to read it, the article is here -

For every 2 merit that you've earned, you receive one sMerit (sendable merit) which you can give to whomever you like. The amount of merit you've earned does not decrease by giving merit to someone else.

Today first time I see a remark that 2015 version is outdated. It really running bad but is there a stable new version? I thought the beta is instable....

There are some new versions for dogecoin core
Dogecoin Core 1.14  released on Jun 22, 2019
Dogecoin Core 1.14.2  released on Nov 8, 2019 (with some bug fixes) take a closer look on their github and see there. Not sure how "stable" is the latest version tbh

Hi,

can anyone explaim me whats about this DEV fee with bitcoin cash.
Do the pools take the fee themselves or will they endurate a hardfork?

What about pools they dont support it, wil they create something like BCH Classic.

Please only technical answers. Not interesting in "BCH is stupid something"

Board search and google did not help.

Thanks.

Seems Roger Ver and the guys from Bitcoin.com pool want 12.5% from miner fees. Not sure if they want to extend to all pools or how will this play out. Seems Bitcoin.com pool already set up the "DEV fee" and it's already a reality.
https://www.coindesk.com/roger-vers-mining-pool-pulls-support-for-bitcoin-cash-dev-fund-over-chain-split-threat

P.S. be careful where you ask the questions, as some times they can get lost in the sea of "good project" and "when airdrop" Smiley) Cheers!
Thanks for your answer. I  had a look at Website and even search Github for DOGE but didn't find anything.

About BCH I will simply wait. Probably both ways will not have a use.

well...

The first one was posted in a megathread... Questions in such a thread are easily overlooked. To be honest, i don't hold any doge, so i can't answer the question either, but somebody in the thread probably knew the answer but skipped your question since it's one of the thousands that have been asked there.

The second question is talking about an altcoin which is not very popular on this forum. I try to stay away from making political statements, but i think the majority of the longtime users of bitcointalk wouldn't want to be caught talking about BCH.

That being said, the answer is relatively simple: Somebody (not going to name names here) wants to create an extra source of income with BCH, so they decided it was/is a good idear to force miners to pay a dev fee. IIRC, they threatened miners that wouldn't donate with orphaning their blocks. Since the person who had the idear of a dev fee seems to have controll of the majority of the  hashrate, he could very well perform such an action... Basically, i think this is more or less blackmailing, and if i were a BCH miner (which i'm not), i'd move pools to a different coin that uses sha256d as it's POW algorithm.
But yes, the thread is real, and if they're not lying about their hashrate they could very well start orphaning blocks if they wanted to.
Do think twice before investing in a coin where there's actual proof that one entity has sufficient hashrate behind them to start blackmailing others...
Ok as for Bitcoin Cash the simple question is if its usefull to setup a pool. When the pool it self pays the fee there is no problem but if there is fork there is no use. And I just not understand that point. I did not want to be so direkt, so I did not mention it .

So I will add the pool info there.

There are many members who are willing to help out other users in any way they can, in the same vein there are members who are here for some personal reasons or the other without wanting to contribute to the forum, there are also scammers looking for some unsuspecting victim. It all depends on the nature of the audience to your post, and this is influenced by where you make the post.

Your inquiry on that thread was overlooked but after ~4 minutes of starting a thread here, you already got a reply and got a couple more already.
I do not personally support keeping certain boards on ignore, but there are boards and threads which I deliberately avoid due to the low-quality of discussions going on there and this has discouraged most of the quality users off those sections.

You already answer your question, mining section is one of quite bitcointalk forum. Many people usually post with low quality. Also mining section is hard to understand if you don't tell the details. Try to edit your topic more detailed and bump it. Hope people will interest on your thread.
