thats a long year of waiting if the only way for altcoins to bloom is when btc reach 1 million dollars  .
altcoin hodlers are going to get tired of waiting for that golden event to happen and they will definetly sold out thier alts and join the bitcoin bandwagon  but why wait forever anyway when you can earn right away upon investing in bitcoin .
it all started with btc and it will going to end with btc  . sorry my fellow altcoins
True, but the reason why I'm investing in altcoins is so I can buy more BTC. If I make the right call (and nowadays, in this bullrun, it's pretty easy), my gains will be much higher then when I put it all in BTC. I'm just riding the waves.

But yeah, in the end, Bitcoin always wins.

I will always believe that if Bitcoin goes bullish, altcoin follows. Though there is most probably a delay in the happening but it often happens. so no, Altcoin will be doing well as long as BTC is doing well
Because all altcoins revolve around bitcoin, so when bitcoin rises in price and altcoins rise together.
Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency market and all altcoins are dependent on bitcoin, if bitcoin has good momentum, altcoins will flourish.

With the stratospheric rise of Bitcoin the altcoins should move big time as well.
But they do not and will not move, as all the institutional money is pouring into bitcoin.
We won't see a "year of the altcoins" for a very long time, at least not before bitcoin has reached one million.
I think investing in Bitcoin is the safest and most profitable of all cryptocurrency. And that's why investors are investing their money in Bitcoin. Because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency.
However, it cannot be said that altcoins have stopped. The prices of BNB, ETH, DOT etc altcoins have increased several times.

Alt-coin also experience a good run this year and we still have more months so we could wait for more pumps this year not just for Bitcoin but also for alt-coin.
Just look at how high ETH and other alt-coin increased ETH also had a new record for it's ATH this year so we couldn't really say that there is no year of alt-coin or alt-coin season.

nobody knows when and how much shitcoin will be pumping. People make speculations all the time but the actual fact is we have no idea. I personally believe this current bull run is gonna unpredictable and yet more altcoins are waiting to explore.
Unfortunately you are right, I wouldn't want it to be true and I would rather only the good coins get the money but you are right, shitcoins get pumped all the time and we never know which one will be pumped next. Why am I against those coins pumping? Because, we are talking about money that could be spent on great coins to go up a little instead of a small coin going up a lot, people think a shitcoin going up 100% is more profitable than a good coin going up 10% but reality is that they pump tens of those bad coins so instead of tens of those coins, we could pump just one decent coin and make profit from that.

Unfortunately that money is wasted on those small bad ones, it could have been a lot better on great things. In the end we are not going to see this stopping anytime soon, people make way too much money from it to stop doing that.

I am not so sure because the altcoin market is also moving up then the domination of BTC is only 60% lower than the last bull which is above 70%.
at least for this time if btc goes up then alt also goes up.

Yeah, what did you expect - that institutional investors will jump on the hype train of some obscure projects that have nothing to show except for marketing materials and promises of revolutionary technologies? 2017 altcoin season was driven by retailers, this time retailers are focused on BTC, because that's were the action is. And altcoins have lost their novelty factor, they are already old news, we already have years of performance data, and it's not looking good - alts don't do well in the long run, while Bitcoin does.
actually many people have invested in altcoins, it's just that the numbers are less than btc.

Every investor wants their invested money to be safe, so they want to increase their investment in Bitcoin without taking too much risk in altcoin. Investors are becoming more attracted to Bitcoin than other altcoins due to past bad experiences.

As a result of which we have already seen the rise in the price of Bitcoin, the dominance of Bitcoin is increasing. However, many altcoins are performing well enough in the current market, which may attract more investors to invest in altcoin in the future.

Bitcoin dominance will continue to influence the altcoin market. The strong influence of bitcoins that makes altcoins also follows how bitcoin continues to move either in a pump or a dump.
I've seen the situation in early 2020. when bitcoin got a pump but none of the altcoins followed what bitcoin was doing. strong dominance and investor confidence regarding the new project which is declining all divert their money into bitcoin.
but the current trend seems different. and we have to understand how this market actually works. altcoins respond to market trends that bitcoin creates. and although not all I think most altcoins have gotten a good pump.

This is because bitcoin enjoys great trust among investors and is considered the safest investment. For this reason, when there is a rapid increase in the price of BTC, many traders sell altcoins and invest their capital in bitcoin, which entails an even greater decrease in the price of altcoins.

The main thing should be on the bitcoin as bitcoin will be determining what chart will be facing by the market. Bitcoin bull will give a widely affect. The market will be bullish and more money go to the crypto. Bitcoin is always giving a domino effect when it was getting pumped. The fact that if altcoin can't leave from the bitcoin's domination. OP is only feeling skeptical about altcoin but he doesn't understand about the relationship between bitcoin and altcoins. There will always be a year for altcoin.

Indeed, when the voting of bitcoin has increased significantly with bitcoin domination of more than 70% then we will see that altcoins will be very easily dumped even though bitcoin at that time has increased,
but if you say the altcoin season is not coming ?? you try to check altcoin prices now and look at the graph for these 3 months. You can see that the altcoin has gone up a lot and hit a new ATH.

It seems you only focus in bitcoin and not the altcoins.. Have you already check the market? the altcoins were pumping and some of the altcoins were reached the all time high, the alt season was occurred but now the altcoins were decreasing so I guess the bullish trend is over, I don't know if we witness again the bullish market this year.

I agree to that, aside from xrp who didn't reached the last time high, most of the coin inside top 10 are already peaking up

might some corrections now, after the massive pumped.

Yeah, this may well can come up to be right but i do not see one million btc coming this cycle and in my opinion around 200k btc could be the peak and then the real altseason but i could be wrong and next peak can be significantly higher, it depends on a lot of factors so we cannot predict precisely.

- Perhaps the altcoins he is holding are not increasing as expected while bitcoin is still rising, which makes him believe that the money is only focusing on bitcoin, instead of altcoins. Theoretically, this is quite true but he forgets that bitcoin is the bridge to help the altcoin go up, so a rise in value of bitcoin will create altcoin value but if bitcoin is stopped, altcoins will not have a new breakthrough. But certainly the opportunities for the altcoin will be uneven when the potential is very important, when we have chosen a potential altcoin, the altcoin season is always coming to us and vice versa.

Don't be too quick to be fallacious on your conclusion that there won't be an alt season. That's not going to happen.. Every bull run has always culminated in an alts season which normally begins when the former ends. At the moment, Bitcoin is still enjoying its moment of glory as price keeps breaking new highs. That isn't to say, anyway, that a few altcoins haven't been enjoying great price movements alongside Bitcoin.

It is true that all institutions this year are more focused on investing in Bitcoin, but that does not mean no year of altcoins coming.
Because if the Bitcoin price goes up, there will definitely be an increase in several altcoins. Try to pay attention to the data on coinmarketcap,
some of the top altcoins rose to reach the new ATH. Such as ETH, ADA, DOT and BNB. There will always be investors interested in altcoins,
so there's no need to wait for the Bitcoin price to go up to $ 1 M to see the year of the altcoins.

The biggest investment pouring through the bitcoin then divided into altcoins. Still, Bitcoin doesn't hit 10 times higher than the last ATH 19k. So many altcoins prices are up 10 times and some top altcoins. The future of new altcoins will be more unpredictable if bitcoin price has reached one million.
