I am all for covering losses. However, I feel after this round of coverage, you should only pick 1-2 exchanges that NOBL Certified. People shouldn't be trading on these smaller exchanges any longer now that mintpal and poloniex have picked up nobl and proven themselves reliable and trusting and small exchanges go down so frequently you can't cover every last loss,. This will serve a dual purposes, it will consolidate our trading volume, giving the coin a more active appearance on a day to day basis which will in turn drive up costs, and give NOBL a feature unique in the crypto universe. A guarrantee.

That's exactly how I feel. With larger exchanges and volume though I doubt we could handle a larger exchange going upside down so I don't know if we need to continue. However it let us do something a bit 'special' with the premine and let us prove we're not full of it. It's gotten us here and people can be more careful with crypto on exchanges from this point onwards. Just my opinion.
Limiting yourself to only 1-2 exchanges, and making a pact with them can be real hurtful to the market imo. It should be a free as possible market and the more exchanges/competition the more they have to work to improve themselves. Actively promoting and 'linking' the coin to a select few exchanges just makes it even more impossible for new exchanges to get through. AGX.io is still under 1btc trade volume even though Noble is traded a lot more now, but it has been a solid exchange so far. If noble had teamed up with Poloniex before it would be even harder for them.

It would be very nice when you find a way to contact coinex. Since 20 days I also have a withdrawel that didn't arrive at my wallet.
"122689998 20 days ago Withdrawal | 3797198.8 NOBL ".

This morning I send some emails to;

https://bleutrade.com/exchange
https://www.vaultofsatoshi.com/
www.itradebtc.com

Maybe they are interested in adding Noble. Two weeks ago, I got a confirmation from www.litepaid.com that they would add Noble+banner. I just checked and it wasn't there. So, I am going to ask them about it right now.

No worries. I'm going to have to put it out there: we've got at least 25 million NOBL hung up on Coinex that I know of. I want to cover this because our CoinMarket action and now doing the same for CoinEX is what has set us apart. I've got a few concerns though:

1. I'm going to have to do it say weekly at 10 million total spread over a few days, to follow our rule of not flooding the market.
2. It's going to have to be done with everyone here alert and happy for it to be done. Unloading a certain amount right now means breaking into a new wallet over the next few weeks, even two over that time with other commitments. It's also when our price is higher and we don't want to start putting downward pressure on it or raise any 'red flags'.
3. With us now on Mintpal and AGX I'd always advise using them and never store large amounts and play it safe. We can't cover another large-scale loss like this and we've learnt our lessons.
4. Following this and because of the growing concern again over the reserve wallets, I'll break the current wallet down to 10 million NOBL so that no more than that is ever 'un-accounted' for (an easier amount to swallow over 30 million).

What are everyone's thoughts on this? I'd like to make sure the majority are aware of this and they have given their approval. We never had to cover too much CoinMarket loss after all the detective work, but CoinEX will be a different issue. I'll try touching base one last time. Should we go ahead one final time now that we're on all the exchanges to show that NOBL can cover their community for their own little MtGox?

Following this we will still have 100million+ in reserves, we've 'proven' ourselves and gotten onto the larger exchanges. I also have gotten to know personally a number of the people who have lost large amounts, and they 'invested' big, helping drive the price up in January, and won't be cashing out huge amounts to make NOBL suffer any time soon.

My thoughts for what they are worth. First I do not think any account that is not a individual should be refunded, such as a multi-pool.

#1 I was warning people for 2 straight days to get their coins out of CoinEx. Those that didn't heed that warning either could afford to have their coins in jeopardy or were not watching the thread which means they could afford to leave large amounts untended and can therefore wait to be repaid. See how that logic works out. I would also add that in my opinion it is a blessing in disguise for these people as they have already quadrupled thier value and I would think it will continue to rise. Especially if they are not immediately refunded and allowed to dump as really is the only reason to have large amounts on an exchange in the first place.

#2 With that being said It has been an unwritten perk of holding Noble that the pre-mine has been used to bail out supporters so Yes the coins should be refunded. When I first started mining I lost a wallet with 10k (at the time took me a week to acquire) and rofo offered to replace it. Which solidified my part in this community and gave me a sense of the man behind the name "Rofo" (which I googled and the giggled. Smiley

#3 I would recommend refunding on a sliding scale with the lowest holders being refunded first. They probably can afford the loss less and were not speculating but paying bills.

I would say anything under maybe 50k(?) could be refunded After 1 week and then in 2 days do 100k and then double that time and also the amount, rinse repeat.

So something like
Wait a week for price to settle from recent activity.
Then refund in this order so as not to flood market:
Day 1 >50k
Day 2 >100k
Day 4 >200k
Day 8 >400k
Day 16>800K...

These numbers can be changed anyway you see fit but this is how I would handle it.

Also Rofo, Has CoinEX gone completely Dark for you as well? If so how long has it been? As soon as it has been say 1 month I think you should be the one contacting the Police for the general community and you should post in the CoinEx thread what The Noble Movement is doing in this regard.

Also as I have stated before, yes I think you should do some BTC conversion to relieve the marketplace strain you have been enduring.

And last of all Congrats on the Great work as usual!

Hi Rofo,

Thanks for the quick and detailed reply.

Actually I have been a bit disappointed about the whole profit taking we saw the last 10 hours. First of all, I geuss you know, I am really happy the way you run Noble. But also for me some profit taking is a must once in a while. Yesterday, I moved a part of my coins from my wallets to poloniex and mintpal. I was ready to sell some between 200 and 300 sat, seeing that range as fair value for the moment. But just like any other coin there are always people that like to take a quick profit. Not profit taking for me though at these prices. I am going to change my plans. Just what I did for 6 weeks ( buying between 15 and 20 sat) I am going to do again now. I will start with a nice buywall at poloniex at 58 sat. Maybe we can get some speculators out of the game and get more coins into hands of longterm investors.
For the rest of the day I am going to train and play golf with my coach and I am really curious what happened when I will be back here in 8 hours.
Today, I am going to discuss with my golfpro, how much I am going to pay him for the golflessons for this year. I am going to offer him a payment halve in Noblecoin and halve in Blackcoin. These two coins are in my opinion longterm winners.

I too was disappointed by the dumping. This coin should be over 200 easy right now. But I think those that dumped are going to regret it in the long run. I actually cracked when the price went over 400 and was going to sell half at 399 but did not have anything on the exchange (I have learned!).

OK all, I'm back. We had a noble princess and mom had some issues after the fact, but I am ready to jump back in. I apologize for having to disappear for a bit. I am going to jump back into all the project stuff so if anyone needs anything at all, please contact [email protected]. Again I apologize to the community but looking forward to the future Smiley

Nice to see you back! hope all is well now. Smiley What we really need right now is P2pool.

I have mixed feelings about this.
We are not connected/affiliated with coinex (as we hadn't with coinmarket). Almost everyone suffered at least one hack/steal/incompetence and lost his coins (me - about three times).
Why the coinex victims should be rewarded?
For example, we had here in Poland some promising young exchange, "bidextreme" — trading btc/ltc/pln, with smooth fiat deposits/withdrawals.
Suddenly they dissappeared with my 0.6 btc (at the moment I had 0.6 btc, but what if I had converted it to LTC?) — should BTC community reward my losses, OR LTC community, OR my central bank (in case I had PLN at the moment of a "hack") ?

Sorry for that but I don't feel responsible for such cases.
Please convince me.

I seriously think that compensating for other people's losses is misguided unless it was directly Rofo's fault. One need to take personal responsibility and not leave all their coins on an exchange. Losses happens everyday in all walk of life with fiat money. One must deal with it. AT some point we all have losses to bear. Pools not paying out. Poloniex was hacked once and 'borrowed' 12% of all of our deposit and since been paying it back. Yes losses do happen and mostly its greed and stupidity and those must take full responsibility. Moaning for compensation when it is not directly Rofo's fault is typical of socialist moaners.

The premine you have can be better used to expand into creating new services for noblecoin that will solidify the price and boost the value of noblecoin itself. No respectable business is going to lose their business by doling out money by feeling sorry for others. If i lose £20 voucher for Marks and Spencers, do you think they will go.....'oh The One, here another voucher'........piff paff no way Jose.

Ok mate.

The old wallet address ( 9etPh4hc8wRkd6VKE1Z2fPGWRa9LmbEma6 ) shows a balance of 2010 NobleCoin at this point in time.

150,000.0 NobleCoin where sent out 2014-2-15 20:56:06 (Which I believe would be unfair/ridiculous to claim)

140,000 remain unredeemed?

10,000 redeemed by address 9XQthco9DctsQDgytJUV3yjZ7cmGzhAoVA

Is the total missing/lost 2010?

Follow the chain..

I guess his problem is more like: if you donate to the old address he can't access it anymore. And regarding the coin movements, I guess that is because he is putting the coins to use for something. Not sure if he keeps an open ledger for his activities.

correct i cant acces the old addresses anymore

and even so important some post back up : i do not claim any i just giving out that we have lost our wallets,

this could happend anyone........and i do not hope it again in the future

@paulus51

I was mentioning the following which you can try:
Create a new wallet,
Open the wallet and wait till it is synchronized
Go to the debug option of the wallet
enter "importprivkey " like mentioned: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5941/how-do-i-import-a-private-key-into-bitcoin-qt

This should give you access to your wallets again if you atleast know your private key/password.

(maybe you need to do a "noblecoin-qt.exe -rescan" after, not sure as I never had to do this myself. Google "bitcoin-qt rescan" to find examples)
