We're all good at something, no1's good for nothin
Wow Rofo, I really like how you think things through. It is a breath of fresh air reading your this thread compared to all the other coins out there that only care about getting their coins to exchanges and how much they can profit from minimal work instead of tackling the important issues, such as utility of the coin, giving people a reason to buy.

To be honest, I was one of the first miners of NOBL, but stopped after a few days. That was when I was still new to the scene and had a lot of mistakes to make to get to where I am now. I happened to be browsing the forums and the E-SPORTS/WATER PROJECT caught my eye, and have not fully caught up on all the pages, but really like what I am reading so far. Visions are ideas you can see clearly in your head. Painting a picture so clearly that everyone else can see the same vision is key to implementing that vision. Keep up the good work, sir!

Edit: Forgot to mention, feel free to let me know if there's anything I can do to help  Grin

Rofo, have you thought about registering NobleCoin as a foundation or something? Not sure if it is even possible, but may give a lot of credibility.

Yes, we are actually looking into the best way to register as a corp. or foundation based on legal & financial advice here in Australia and how that would best legitimise us in regards to regulation/legal ramifications (us being we as a group of interested Australians promoting, representing and using NobleCoin (marketplace) rather than NobleCoin as a whole). It's still such a grey area that most people including government don't have a 100% answer for anyone yet. Personally though I do not want to be something like the BTC foundation and seen as a public head that when cut off the whole system shakes.

In terms of this centralising NobleCoin (which goes against a core of crypto. and is further demonized with the BTC foundation and MtGox woes) we have made publicly available and free to use all NobleCoin graphics/images and will be releasing a .zip file containing the entire NobleCoin website/network/marketplace to promote it being copied and used anywhere else if necessary - minus the personal details of orders & users - we'll have to crop the necessary plugins to avoid legal licensing issues but will provide a list of what is necessary. Feel free to use any and all information on our website/marketplace/network and promote it around the web.

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

nobl.charityminingpools.com

Be a pioneer and help us get started, come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 0.5% donation fee goes to The Water Project this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.

SSL, STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups, DDOS Protection
0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause, 0.5% Pool Fees, 0% AP TX Fees

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.5% Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum 0.5% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

Cheers!
CharityMiningPools

Anyone want to throw some hash in is more than welcome. My workers feeling lonely. . Wink

Thanks all... Smiley

That's not something I like to comment on too strongly yet. Because we are publicly known and personally contactable, as well as attempting to act in as professional manner as possible during a period when crypto may become slightly regulated and accepted mainstream, we're getting contacting by a number of people/parties. Being publicly known and publicly available for discussion gives us a lot of strength that hasn't been widely recognized in this scene yet. We've already been invited to a number of think thanks, investment and advice boards. To be honest we hope this raises the legitimacy of Noble longer term but it's not something we'd like to have appear as a conflict of interest.

I wouldn't want anyone to assume anything that doesn't pan out or get burnt or even imply that that is any more than 'advertising' at this point. There are promising avenues we continue to explore however and some early discussions. I'd advise doing your own research on the potential of particular cryptocurrencies and where things may or may not go in 2014 and beyond.

To be honest I'm not an investment type of guy, I don't like the current system and believe crypto. can act as a solid global & digital replacement (hopefully without the dystopian/control future element). However I believe regulation will come but ideally only at exit points/banks when it is converted to regional fiat (primarily for fiat tax and laundering management), but will allow for an easy & almost instantaneous flow of transactions/wealth on an international scale free from multiple points of transaction/exchange fees. Underneath the more 'public' crypto will be a second layer of Tor/anonymous/dark cryptocurrencies similar to how BTC was with silk road - which may or may not be illegal. These are all my personal opinions however and I really wouldn't assume to know how any of this will pan out this year.

Edit: The last thing I want is to f*** anyone over and have karma bite me in the ass further down in life.

The inclusion of a business on the MSB Registrant Search Web page is not a recommendation,
certification of legitimacy, or endorsement of the business by any government agency.

That's true, but these regulations/licensing requirements beginning to take over crypto are the reason coins that make the ridiculous claim they are delivering a fiat exchange within weeks are false, the reason CoinPayments almost shut down, etc etc. Of course the government doesn't officially back them, but it still costs a lot of time and money to register and comply - reporting financials, large trades, $10,000+ fiat movements, laundering watch/reporting etc. etc. Only entities like this that have the time and finances to properly register will survive in the years (months?) to come.. at least in the US (other countries to follow I'm sure).

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I have high hopes for AGX, they've approached this scene and us very professionally. Also 'Austin Global is registered and compliant with the United States Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN BSA ID 31000041189994' speaks volumes.
I was a little skeptical that they had actually registered, but I just looked it up and they really are in the database!

http://www.fincen.gov/financial_institutions/msb/msbstateselector.html - search '31000041189994'

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the registration that is expensive (required each state?) and means serious business, yes?

Yes this costs money (quite a lot), time and bureaucratic procedures on Federal and State levels to follow. AGX is definitely the real deal and I'm glad we are part of it.
