Here is other repositories I found, some of them have versions of Noble going back to 2014:

https://github.com/NobleCoinNOBL/noblecoin

https://github.com/jlcurby/NobleCoin/

The original website is still up:

Lemon, Sorry for late reply. These are still the old pure POW wallets from bedore we turned POS.
What I meant was if we need to add a new feature to NOBL we need to find a ersembling commit on github of a simular coin.

true. Any ideas. Going to levelDB database would reduce the time in half.
Then we are simular to novacoin, etc.. I tried this once and it works fine. I didn't use it now because you need a full resync.
Maybe late we can add it again. The thing is just I don't know if we should make it pure LevelDB or make it switchable with Berkley database.
In windows this was fine. Linux I don't know.

Other options to speed up... Let me know.

I have several ASICS.  Let's get this coin on a pool.

Magi-coin has pools. So so can we.
ASICs; Do they work with M7M mining?

I guess to get an exchange for Noble would also be nice.

I've applied to Southxchange and hope for an answer next week.

A pool? Is this possible?

I guess to get an exchange for Noble would also be nice. Noble lost its page on CoinMarketCap, as there was no exchange left to list the coin.

How exactly the wallet detemines when you stake is still beyond me.

Last month I watched my wallet go down in weight from 20k to 0 . (making the chain get stuck).

What I can say is that my 2 nodes are staking without pow on.
I use 3rd node to pow.

Maybe it started staking because a new block was found...

Maybe yes... currently i mine and mint, and I got a lot of transactions (I think 50 and more) within the last 12 hours.
So I would say that the wallet is minting and mining perfectly.  Cool

Still waiting for the first minted block. The weight is rising and rising, and is already 20x higher than the network weight, and the seconds count is at 0 (expected time to earn reward is 0 seconds). Looks like minting/staking is not working anymore.... it is trying to mint, but is not generating a block.

Anyone else able to mint?

According to the block Explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/# some blocks are being generated by PoS.

However, I have the same problem as you have  Huh

I found out, that the wallet is only generating POS blocks, if you also POW... i have to enter "setgenerate true", otherwise if not on POS will be listed "generate: false", when I check with getmininginfo.

I hope it will mine or mint now a new block, as chain is currently stuck again since 1 hour...

(thx for the message Cinqo, to inform about the new wallet)

The new wallet did start and synced fine from my stuck-chain, good job. So new blocks have been loaded.
Still not many people on the chain, i have currently only two active connections.

Now as chain is synced again, I am trying to get the wallet to mint/stake again - I do not want to generate (mine). But still there is a message that I don´t have mature coins.
I did already do several local send transactions, which you needed to do in the former wallet to get it minting again.

I guess I let the wallet run and wait, if something will be happening?

Hey Traxor
Good to see you.

So basicly the new wallet will work as the old one with an addition of mining.

So to get mature coins:
check in coin control what the age of your coins/transactions is (with the magi weight formula, it's already overmature after 1.5 months or so). For this you need to make new transaction.
Once you have that wait 2 hours for minimum stake age.

The wallet started minting... besides the mining it is currently doing, too. so everything looks good.  Grin

Does anyone have a miner/batch file now?

NOBL  is a M7M CPU mined coin. (same as XMG)

So you can use the build-in miner from the client.

In console:
setgenerate true -1

-1 is all threads (you can add the amount you want, depending on you processor)
I haven't gotten any other m7m miner working. Will keep trying.

If one is the minimum then I'm getting 100% CPU usage.  I don't like maxing out my CPU like that.  Is there a way for it to not use so much?

to be clear

All threads: setgenerate true -1
1 thread: setgenerate true 1
2 threads: setgenerate true 2
....

Some points:

* Give-away seems good. What give-way amount are you thinking about? 1000 / 5000 NOBL?

* Exchange: I'll try getting us in Southxchange.

* Coding: I'm an NOBL enthousiast, whose been playing with the code for a year. Mostly comparing code on github. I'm not someone who can make new things (not in this code). The biggest struggle I have right now is that there is no good example with a clear history (from -> to). Usually somewhere in the middle they rebase or fork. So if anyone can give any help, it's much appreciated. Currently it is setup in my github account. This too can change if needed... . My view is simple, I'm just 1 community member, but I will do my best.

* We still have a lot of clients on the old chain. This has stopped and will never go up again (it's stuck for good). We really need more nodes for this coin. So I would urge everyone to upgrade to the new chain. Checkpoint has been set to latest block of old chain, so that part is secured.

* For the future of this coin it would be interesting to make a new thread here on bitcointalk. This one is getting too long and we are unable to change the first post. (I think).
