I hear that Texas is the only State that, right in its enabling act when it was formed, as part of the contract to be a State between itself and the United States, has the right to secede, no questions asked, any time it wants.

Since this is by contract, the U.S. has no right to even attempt to stop it.

All of a sudden we will see California in a war against Texas and other states fighting each other..
Why? Because they think they are the best country in the world. And they want to fight for the title.

The US will not split up.
Then there will be a civil war.

The Us Gov wont let a state suddenly leave.

It is a pipe dream.  Why would the federal government of the states benefit from allowing Texas to leave the union?  There was sort of a war fought over this and these dreams will be put in their place I bet.  Wink

Texas is like 40% Hispanic and 50% White right now. Already the welfare payments are causing a huge drain in the state exchequer. There are millions of illegal aliens in Texas as well. If Texas secedes from the United States, it will find itself bankrupt within a few years, due to mounting welfare bills. Why don't merge with Mexico?  Grin

Knowledge could but approximate existence.
Since this is by contract, the U.S. has no right to even attempt to stop it.

If Abraham Lincoln didn't care about that "right," one can be sure that no other PotUS will.

Sounds good. Texas would make a rather impressive country on its own.

Texas has an area of 268,820 square miles, about 27 million residents.  It has a GDP of about 1.2 Trillion dollars,  comparable to the GDP of India or Canada, which are the world's 12th- and 11th-largest economies.

"Consider the current trajectory of the Washington DC – ever downwards, and taking on new debt every month – debt that could never be paid back in a 1000 years… a number of states could soon benefit from cutting themselves loose from a toxic US economy and its directionless and highly draconian Federal Reserve banking system.

In the future, if any state had to bolt, Texas would be first. They might choose to opt for independence strictly out of social and economic survival."
