Just recently that I heard about bitcoin from my friend. The first thing or question that comes in my mind is if it's legal or not. So I did a research about it and found out that it is already accepted here in our country not yet legalize but it's not also banned. That's one of the reason why I'm here in this forum to grab this opportunity for investment like what other people did.

it is still under development in that certain country, or the government is still studying if bitcoin will bring benefits to the economy of that said country, so it only just stands on neutral ground.

That is also fair. If you look deeply into this problem, you will find that bicoins bring more economic value when all countries are not legally unified for bitcoin and other crypto.

Yes, that is Bitcoin. Not legal yet not banned. This is the same as my country does. In my country Bitcoin is not yet legalized but to use Bitcoin as an investment asset is still allowed. It's just banned as a means of the transaction directly. But it does not matter, the important thing I am still allowed to have Bitcoin.

Every country and different government agencies differs on how they approach bitcoin and altcoins in their respective country others says that this cryptocurrency thing can devastate their economy and doesnt really know what possibility cryptocurrency can do in their respective country.

It is true that bitcoin is not yet legal but not prohibited, I think governments and banks can earn income from bitcoin transactions into fiat or vice versa, and the government can also get taxes from the crypto market.

Yes, it is possible at the end of the day we people should convert our cryptocurrency to fiat currency only so the government can easily trace out the transaction and they can collect taxes from the people who are trading the cryptocurrency same as with forex and share market etc.

There's no confirmation that it is legal in my country but the response of government in crpyto is very positive despite of investment scams around it which makes me very sure that it will not be banned here in us.

Good for you mate.
For me though, whether my government will going to make cryptocurrency legal or not, I will really not care because bitcoin is a revolutionary invention with regards to finances.

For now, let us just enjoy the "not yet legal but not banned" status which can anyway fine with me so I can still avoid paying taxes.

I have the same problem with you where the country still considers illegal bitcoin but bitcoin usage is free. I don't know exactly what the government thinks of bitcoin, but i predict the possibility of one of them (government) also using bitcoin, only i have no real proof for that.
The reason i have these predictions is because,
1. Every day bitcoin transaction process in my country (especially my region) exceeds 20x transactions every day, it is also only done by me and my colleagues.
2. There is one area that uses bitcoin as a means of payment in everyday life such as hotels, malls, tourist attractions, etc.

Maybe it's all not enough to legalize bitcoin.

Yes this is true, in my country our government had not yet given a second look on Bitcoin.  They knew it exists but they just ignore it.  It is not  yet legal but they did not banned it.  We cannot guess what the future of Bitcoin will be but with this past changing technology eventually the government will notice the usefulness and the large income  they can generate from the the user of Bitcoin.  They will find a way to legallize and taxed it or they will ban it.

Yes, it seems that soon we will remember with nostalgia the time when we exchanged crypto currency at exchanges and other exchangers without providing our identification data and did not pay any tax due to the absence of such mandatory requirements in the country. Everything goes to the fact that the legalization of the crypto currency in the countries will bring us such side effects that are not very pleasant. So really, for the time being we can enjoy the time when the crypto currency is not yet legalized in our country.

It is true that you say we must take full advantage of the crypto assets we have, and I think it is very difficult if the government forbids crypto, and I think banks also benefit from the exchange of crypto money to fiat.

That is like what happens in my country today, "Not Yet Legal But Not Banned". On the one hand, bitcoin is considered not a valid currency, on the other hand there is also room that the use of Bitcoin or other digital currency is the responsibility of each, respectively.
Sometimes there are concerns in my head, but I try to enjoy everything now. I try to enjoy the legality of bitcoin that is still unclear here.
Same thought as here also in my country not legal in my government but not banned besides they recognized bitcoin as a part of currency here that may pay bills as a real currency. Meanwhile, they also warn us to avoid being a scam on those scammers who wanted bitcoin.
In that case, we much enjoy here using bitcoin without any laws to follow.

It seems that Europe has more loyalty to crypto-currency and equats them to simple payment instruments, unlike the USA which take it as a property to be paid huge taxes for.

Right now everyone's talking about the ICO scams and potential SEC crackdown in the US, but there are also other important questions for example if the SEC considers all tokens to be securities wouldn't it technically be illegal for any token holder to sell their tokens/coins to another person. I'm not too sure of the answer, but I know that investors in startups that are not publicly traded cannot typically resell their stock (or would have to jump through many hoops to do so). This is why regulating crypto and alt coins is going to prove very tricky.

Some countries like Pakistan and India still public is not aware either Bitcoin are legal or illegal.
which I know, for some countries that allow bitcoin to enter as a legitimate means of payment in their country, but for a country that does banning it, it usually really prohibits bitcoin as a means of payment, but does not forbid to invest. but I also do not know whether the future is precisely the state that prohibits can allow bitcoin as a means of payment or not.

Post was created in July, but situation haven't changed much since. We still have poor regulation and uncertainty, hope things will be better at the end of the year
