You can sell your bitcoin and use fiat currency to pay those services. I don't think it is too much different from on chain transaction fee, trading fee. It will require some additional fee but not too much.
I believe convenience and to some extent, privacy, are the key reasons why you want to use Bitcoin or crypto instead of fiat. A fee is quite relative too, some services have a lot of fees when you use fiat. Personally, I find it cheaper to use crypto directly since the difference in the payment method for services that I use is around 5% or so. At the end of the day, I guess you can say it depends on what service you need too.

Take a look at Where to spend Bitcoin? by Ratimov to know where you can use crypto for getting services and many other stuff.
it's a great list, but some of it may need updating as services are encouraged to accept Bitcoin and when they don't find enough support they stop, so buying gift cards is the most stable solution.
This is a list of services that sell gift cards that enable you to buy almost anything with Bitcoin https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-gift-cards-providers-5208530

Go after the goal... Go!!! It is worth getting!
When I did the mixing review campaign, it got to a stage where you had to upgrade your safe, and they had different means of payment, including Fiat, altcoins, and bitcoin too. As for any of those chat apps or music apps, I don't think there's any that accepts Bitcoin for upgrading to premium; for Boomplay, that's just Fiat you can upgrade with; even on Facebook, you need to pay for the publicity of your ad, and you need to pay; it's still a payment made with Fiat.

I can buy anything on the Apple App Store by using crypto to buy iTunes gift cards. It's been a huge help for me because I don't really mind paying the extra commission to Apple to have an easy way to pay for this stuff. They're very lax on this kind of stuff.

Am curious to know, is there some notable app(s) created for whatever purposes which has a premium subscription payment plan for any of its package and accepts or allows crypto or BTC payments for the package?

Since you're not being specific on the particular subscription you may wanted to make, there are thousands of industries that have their apps available from online stores to be downloaded to make premium subscription to it, a good example is the mixin safe app, when you have registered for it, it will require you to make on upgrade with the use of the different packages available on your login dashboard when you wanted to make deposit, there are also many apps that supports these premium upgrades and you make payment in bitcoin, maybe a Google search could also help you with some list, then if anyone you see supported bitcoin, it will be made available on the options on the attempt for making payment.

I've use BTC to pay for VPS services and also VPN few times before and if you are looking for more you should get bit refill app on your phone, you can buy many things through this app, from gift cards to airtimes and even pay your bills like electricity bills and other.

I've also use this app to get eSIM, they Algeria, Australia and also Global too, they have access to cool hotel offers, like bonus offers, I don't think anything matches the level of this app, they accept BTC, USDT, and some other altcoins too.

Most VPN services now have crypto payment options and I believe in time many other services will start accepting Bitcoin and others too, it's a slow but steady journey, we will get there some day.
That is actually making some sense, if you want to use VPN that means you want to hide where you go from your ISP and that means if you like to pay with crypto that would be another way of hiding it as well instead of giving your full credit card information which has your name on it.

This type of stuff makes sense, this is why I always suggest that crypto is great for online payments, because you can hide who you are, and I do not mean online like you buy something for your house, that will be shipped and need your name, I mean digital stuff, even including ebooks. That way you get something digitally, a product or a service, and do not have to share your personal information at all while buying it.

If you can pay directly through bitcoin, it is good and convenient but even you can not, it's not the end of the world. You can sell your bitcoin and use fiat currency to pay those services. The thread by Ratimov is a big one but after some years, it needs to have update as I believe some websites are no longer working in 2023.

I don't think OP is referring to a service like Bitrefill. Judging from how he asks if there is any app that offers a subscription with BTC, OP is looking for a service like Spotify that accepts BTC. I do agree that he probably needs to expand his target if he wants to spend or use his BTC.

VPN service by nature is quite friendly with crypto since using fiat can expose the user info (which is probably a negative thing for most of their customers). While other services are starting to accept BTC, most of them also require KYC aggressively.

First, many of these apps are actually very aggressive in the way they work. They lure people in with cool features, but just as you're getting used to them, they change the rules and make you pay or deal with a lot of ads. They make money off of our FOMO

What you really want to know is how apps that accept cryptocurrency work. A lot of sites now accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies since they have become more popular. One company that lets you put Bitcoin into your Microsoft account is Microsoft. Even though this isnt an app itself, it shows that big companies are taking cryptocurrency. Services like ExpressVPN and NordVPN accept Bitcoin payments. VPNs arent exactly fun music or game apps, but they do work with Bitcoin.

But the mainstream app business has been slow to adopt cryptocurrency because it is volatile and there are problems with how it is regulated. But as the world changes slowly, you can expect more apps to follow suit.

Part of these services accept payment in Bitcoin directly, such as hosting service providers, VPNs, or freelancing platforms, or through Bitcoin payment services, whether direct, such as btcpayserver, or indirectly, such as cards that are charged with Bitcoin, such as Binance Pay. Indirect methods can include purchasing gift cards or postpaid cards, or paying a third party to conduct the transaction for you.

The only thing that comes to my mind is a financial services. If you are trying to subscribe on some analytical service with a high chance it would accept crypto payments. Even if the service itself is fully about traditional markets.

However, It is always better for services to have a client's card tight to his account and have all bills paid automatically rather than waiting till the client sends you his crypto.

On the same topic, I have a proposal. What if we all start hitting up app developers whenever we fancy upgrading to their premium versions and ask them to accept Bitcoin payments? I believe this could contribute to the wider adoption of cryptocurrency for everyday transactions. It's a small step, but every little bit helps! If developers get a bunch of Bitcoin requests, they might consider adding it as a payment option, making it more accessible to users. Worth a shot, right?

It makes reasonable sense to be able to call up a developer when we intend to upgrade to our premium versions, but it's not like their contact details or portfolio is  advertised everywhere.
Had it been there is a dedicated channel or company which have developers who attend to issues that can arise from premium subscription using btc or cryptocurrency payments, it would have been genius. Unless they are easily available then I can only imagine.

It would be a nice development to see BTC payment options available for premium subscription other than the old method of credit cards or PayPal account being used as payment processors.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
I've read about a (new) app that works like that in this forum, but I forget what section it is. If I remember correctly it is a centralized app, you simply top up your bitcoin balance to your account, the app will make payments to the premium subscription platform in fiat.

Maybe this has to do with the Play Store policy. They also need to set up a payment processor which can add more fees, and even if they decide to use open-source software they still need to weigh the cost and time to do that. I do use stores that accept crypto, although most of them are marketplace and not an app. Some games that are not listed on the Play Store also accept crypto. Based on this I believe the key reason why not all apps accept BTC or crypto is simply because the profit is not that much for them, hence why there is no incentive to do so. CMIIW.

There are not many places where you can spend BTC as a mode of payment due to government regulation but if you can see a gift card payment option on any app then you can simply use BTC to buy the gift card on a platform like Bitrefil and then use the gift card as payment to buy a premium subscription.

Take a look at Where to spend Bitcoin? by Ratimov to know where you can use crypto for getting services and many other stuff.
Theirs many applications that allow bitcoin running to their app and also many Internet stuff do allow bitcoin buying and bitcoin selling, so therefore many people can on their own make a payment or receive a payment through bitcoin from my perspective, bitcoin is something I know very well numerous applications right now can accept bitcoin for payment, in the aspect of a gift card I know very well that gift card buy it you can use a bitcoin

As of now, I don't have any apps on my mobile that have BTC as payment mode so even the numerous is not enough to cover what we use every day so still bitcoin is some kind of exclusive available on a limited number of platforms but I wish I see it on everywhere when I am about to make a payment and we are still a long way to go.

For now, the only way is to purchase a gift card with BTC and make payments on your favorite apps.

I am only aware of VPN services that one can pay with crypto like bitcoin. This service is somewhat related to crypto cause it is privacy related and the owners of the service assumes that crypto users will heavily patronize their service.

Services which are unrelated to crypto like music streaming apps or randome games will not be interested to open a crypto payment option.
Same here, but vpn is one of the best things anyone could use bitcoin for. Buying it with btc added an extra level of privacy as i even bought that btc with cash and that vpn service didn't give up anyone's identity, they didn't even collect ips. So it would have been very hard to track me with that setting. Not that i would even need that layer of privacy, but i wanted to hide my id from everyone it as a principle.
