we can only assume like this cause we have not been able to get a real and concrete evidence on this issue.

they are spreading fud as usual, so here the one that want to "kill" bitcoin(answering the qustion of the other thread) the nsa

you don't need any evidence sha256 is not crackable ever, it go against the laws of the universe
I think theres no impossible in this world theres a time that the bitcoin will be hacke remember no system is safe. Any security can be cracked if not now, but theres a day that the word security will be removed from dictionary.

If they can crack mine, they deserve the 20 bucks I have in my wallet

Why they need your 20 bucks? Your 20 bucks is not worth for them, they aim bigger. If they can crack bitcoin then your buck means nothing to them and they have the power to control all of bitcoin in this world
hahaha dont estimate 20 bucks theres many thing you can buy in 20 bucks its still money. but you are correct they hunting the bigger bitcoin. So that they only snob you because if they stole 20 bucks and they caught the punishment for them is equal to the punishment to the man who steal a million or a billion, so they hunt the bigger one.

Of course, but if they crack him it will be to easy for them and the price is just too low. If they cracked bitcoin its harder and the price is worth to get so dont judge from the punishment, they will try to get it and delete their track from bitcoin so no one will know it
Now no system is safe. Even if you are scammer or hacker your vpn can detect or can trace because security is just imaginary conceptbecause if it is true no security system will be hacked.
well i don't agree that NSA can crack easily the whole network of Bitcoin if they are attempting to crack, this can take several years because of SHA-256 and i don't think it can worth of it after wasting of so many years to just take control the network these kind of talking looks like troll so i don't take this serious.
Yeah i also thinking that is troll because no one will create a crypto currency that so easily to crack the code or break the vulnerability. And Satoshi wont do a simple machine that involves money or an internet money that can easily hacked.

Since the begining of this century, NSA has invested billion dollars in some secret activities to keep its ability of eavesdrop and taken this as its great mission. If the information from terrorist, foreign spy and other foes, US will be the one to attack.
It is said that NSA cooperates with multipal technology companies to use high speed computer to crack secret codes. This institue has decoded the encryption skill of protecting global business and bank system, kept the business secret, medical record and other sensitive data, at the same time, the safety of emails, internet surfing, online chatting in US is automatically protected.
An intelligence budget file has shown that this kind of action is still going on. The American national intelligence supervisor James R. Clapper Jr. has written that:"We have invested a lot of funds on breakthrough password analysis to attack the password technology and network traffic of foes."
There is rumor in the past that Bitcoin is one of the institutions of NSA.However, all the details around the national institution have shown that Bitcoin community has become the goal. Many people in Bitcoin community believe that NSA is cracking the Bitcoin agreement, which is one of the great tasks for them.

Of course they are. NSA is trying to crack everything, literally everything, but it's a losing game trying to crack BTC, it's physically impossible, unless they are doing exactly that, trying to come up with a quantum physics computer (absolutely sci-fi and pointless trying to think about that happening).

All NSA has to do is leak a rumor that they've cracked bitcoin, and the damage is done. That said, personally, I think it can't be cracked.

First NSA had already broken Bitcoin, now they are attempting to break it? Are we going backwards in time?

So what do they got after they break it? And why OP ask the same question again? Will NSA break this again for the second times?

No, they are just assumptions, but people got their assumptions backwards, I guess.
What exactly is different between breaking and cracking Bitcoin? Isn't this basically the same thing. If you crack it you break bitcoin algorithms, right?

I think that break is going for the security and cracking is for the code but I dont know what are they use that for? Are they going to take full control or not after break into this system. That is need explaination
Maybe the breaking thay he said is to break the vulnerability of bitcoin to crack the code so that they can control the movement of bitcoin or they can send the bitcoin to their address. I only guessed that.

I would like to know how one "cracks" a virtual currency.

It is not the same with what you know of the usual cracking. What it means is that the cracking will only decrypt the hash and so that the NSA could track on every single transaction of it. This is ofcourse against the principal of bitcoin , anonimous transaction.

How exactly is the NSA going to crack Bitcoin?
I am really curious.
I would really like to know what kind of alien technology they will use to accomplish that?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

quantum computer.

only work on ecdsa not on sha256, and i'm sure using a quantum computer to break an assets(bitcoin) with a joke marketcap, it isn't worth it at the moment, i believe their quantum computer is super expensive to make, if they ever hold one secretly

It's probably more of importance to them to de-anonymize Bitcoin users than it is to actually crack Bitcoin private keys.
Agree, it seems as obvious target. Cracking Bitcoin Private Keys is kinda impossible from what i red.
Hahah why us? do you want to lose your btc? you giving them an idea. :3 If they do that and they success promise me many of users will lose their bitcoin.
