One thing I would like is a little feedback on how we are doing as devs..
I noticed Gr33k started a push pool for "spots" and it went straight to the OP of their thread..
I checked the new sexcoin pool out before I even considered endorsing it, Gr33k honestly admitted it didn't pay out bonus blocks, and lava is going to help him with that when he can...
I think it's in the best interests of the coin to make sure of things and to look after our miners who are loyal.. I'd rather a reputation for honesty and thoroughness ... even if it means less pools at this point..
How does everybody else feel in general ?
Thank you LittleDigger - that is definitely accurate - I do not know how to implement the bonus block finding, nor have the code savy to design this in to the software, and have stated such.
I CAN however apply updates to the services and patches as needed. I'm not a n00b by far, but I am not a developer either
I am savy with compiling stuff from source, and using git repos to upgrade, and svn's...but again - I'm limited to the abilities of a sys admin, and a code enjoying enthusiast.
I honestly don't know when we get a bonus block other than looking at the server's wallet balance and seeing more coins in there than blocks found, fees, and donations.
I have been thinking of creating maybe a faucet for SXC and dumping them in there for everyone to benefit.
I've no intention of stealing these coins by any means. It's simply due to no open source software currently being available (that I'm aware of) that puts in to account the bonus blocks, and how to handle their distribution other than just dump it in to the pool op's liquid assets.
Also - given the low value of the SXC - I didn't think it would be a huge issue in the present...but more so when/if the coin gains value. Imagine getting bonus blocks for BitCoin... That would definitely need to be shared amongst the miners as a "thank you"!
Manually dispersing these is possible - however not the easiest solution given the bonus blocks are not kept track of in the transaction logs (thus the math is manual - and I hate doing math manually LOL!)
Please don't hesitate to email me @ gr33k420 - at - gmail.com if you have info or software on this. I'm happy to do what I can to implement and test it for the benefit of the community
