haha.. I had an issue no hash.. then I realised the rig had crashed..poor old girl, she's chewed through a few cards in her time.. needs a bit a coddleing to keep hashing.. anyhoo..

Lavajumper has the code you need. It's not my work but I think it will also allow you to set up a pool for any alt, that pays properly.. I suspect that soon that will be a big plus to miners, who are asking questions about some of the payouts of some large pools.

I'm assuming that if you set up the pools you have, you'll have no problem with it, but he's been doing a dozen things at once, so it might take him a little while to get it to you..

It might be easiest just to PM him with an email addy or request for a filesharing link..  Grin

Fendle, I want to get rid of some LKY, BBQ and I might have some DGC, For SXC depending how it goes I might dip into BTC/LTC

As your site Buy/Sells SXC, would you be willing to act as and Agent for escrow once I make get a good offer?

Ok... I know it's been awhile with no updates.. The development of late has been like a duck, slow, smooth, serene movement above the surface, and a lot of furious, hectic, chaotic movement below the water line.

Lava's pushpool pay's out correctly, instead of skipping blocks and dumping payouts directly to the operator. He's been willing to share his "fix"with the wider community, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in fairly paying miners.. And I've probably said too much so I'll change the subject.

There's a few things we haven't talked about, because they haven't panned out yet. One that has is we have server space in a datacenter, and it's the real deal including more bandwidth than is sane and battery backup or as Lava put it "the whole nine yards".

The much touted website is up on a server and needed a few minor tweaks, but honestly, I was pretty much burnt out when lynos gave me a "rough draft" of how he would do it: http://lynortis.com/sxc-t1/ I don't know about you, but it blew my mind.

There's the wow factor just there. We've asked Lynos to unleash his creativity on the old site (Now reffered to as the sucky one) and we don't care when he finishs adding his magic to it. I guess people will just have to go to github for a little while longer to grab a client..

Lava has been doing more than is healthy behind the scenes, and we're hoping he eases up before he is afflicted with his own case of burn out, so we are trying ease the pace a little.

The p2pool is out of beta, but not officailly announced.. I want to hold back on that until we have a few more things to announce and see what effect it has when we make all our announcements at once.. Muhahahahahaha

The downside is our miners will have to put up with being paid bonuses for the beta pool, and should enjoy a low hashrate and difficulty for a while longer without those annoying spikes. It also means that I can grab more SXC for bountys which from the way things are going, will require more than I anticipated.

I'm also planning on trading some of my other alts for more SXC to be prudent.

So guys there you have it.. Some things are pretty much finished, some are taking much longer but the results will be worth it, and we are waiting to see if other things eventuate.

Hey all,

I'm getting ready to take the pool off line to do 'reboot survivability testing' and 'tenacious stupidity testing'. It looks like I'll start in about 20 minutes. During the testing time it will be up and down, seemingly unpredictably  Tongue

I apologize for the short notice of the exact time for this, but its been a little hectic here, and this is when I get the chance to do it. I'll announce when I'm done.

Also, I'm very confused about where the 'payouts' to the pool are coming from. I've got the pool percent set at 0. Maybe joewinkler was correct about the 'rounding'. I just wish I could find a definitive answer. I've got no intention of charging a fee, at least for the next month. I'm seriously thinking never, or until some other pools(plural) exist, which give people options.

According to coinchoose that single pool is faster than the AMC, Craftcoin and Powercoin nets.

Yeap.. And it's a useful little coin... Fustrating isn't it... You can always go to litebonk and express that fustration..

But we still do have a way to go.. I'm not so sure being on an exchange right now would be good.. There are unforeseen events eventuating, so I think the best philosophy is to just keep getting while the getting is good  Wink

Hiya Guys,

My apologies for the late bonus.

At the moment Lava is planning on moving the P2pool and taking it out of beta, starting a beta on the pushpool, sorting out RPC calls and modifying the blockexplorer for the website and seems anxious to get back to working on a new client to address the desync issue... All while holding a regular job and providing to his family.

Things are hectic.. Add to that co-ordinating the efforts of people in different time zones and there's bound to be a little confusion. I wasn't sure if we were still issueing bonuses and my sleep patterns are pretty much non-existant, so the bonus has been a little late in coming..

I was hoping to live up to the deadline I announced on the website earlier in the forum, but unfortunately that won't happen. Suffice to say it is up on a server with it's own domain name, It works for any resolution I've thrown at it, It works fine in Chrome and Explorer, it cuts out part of the header in mozilla but retains the menu bar and is still functional.. and needs very little to go "live"..

I have also noticed during my first coffee of the day that we are again at about 11 M/h. Our last spike to 12 M/h is probabley due to just a mention in crypsty's trollbox, and I suspect this one is due to a post in Big Verns "Litebonk" forums, though we cannot be definate about it.

If indeed we are getting these hashrate spikes for casually mentioning SXC outside of this forum, active promotion of the coin will be succesfull.

Once again my apologies to you all for the length of time taken to post the bonus.

I don't know either, in the UK "sex" as a word is allowed on TV at 9.30am all the time when I watch Jeremy Kyle (everyday).  So saying it is to do with the name seems odd, you could pay a sex counsellor, which has nothing to do with porn or drugs or whatever.  I am sure 100% that some people don't like having sexual subjects so openly discussed and it is always a tricky subject.

Cryptsy airing on the side of caution is prudent but this is a coin you can actually do stuff with, sooner or later people will catch on to xxx micro transactions.  I'm thinking like buying tokens with SXC and using them to pay for stuff.  This allows the traders to trade, miners to mine and merchants to cash out, but also ties people into a single system that has it's valued controlled by the distributors and not externally. Just one of many possibilities.

The hard fork is an issue, I am confused, if you do a fork will I be able to use the coins I have mined up till now?

Yes, The best way I can explain it is we tell a new client to make a change at block XXXXXX, say that the difficulty changes every 60 blocks instead of 480... the new clients make the change at XXXXX but the old ones don't.. thats the fork part. At that time ppl using the old clients will still have all their SXC, but the transactions they make on the old client won't be on the main chain.. so any SXC they send or recieve from mining won't actually be sent or recieved... If they update to the new client then they will get whatever they had in their wallets at block XXXXX.. (edit: you calculate how long it will take to get to block XXXXX so that everybody has days weeks or months to download and install the client...)
