when making a test transfer (just a few coins) from one of my wallets to one of my other wallets (SXC wallets that is) how long should it take for the transfer to arrive?

This should only take 6 minutes. What are you seeing? ( Do you have both wallets up at the same time? )

errmmm maybe something I don't understand - no I opened the wallet I wanted to transfer from and sent a few coins - then closed that wallet - and opened the wallet to receive - but nothing happens?
I didn't know I can open 2 wallets of the same coin at the same time - howto? 2 directories?

2 directories, command line switch in the shortcut,  and some port juggling. You will need to be comfortable with sexcoin.conf, shortcuts and file copy/paste to do it.

make file-level backups of both wallets ( you should do this anyway! )
wallet1: normal

wallet2:
           create , /data ( you need write permissions )
           copy sexcoin files into
           create shortcut to /sexcoin-qt.exe
           move wallet2 into            add to shortcut:
               -conf=/sexcoin.conf
           sexcoin.conf:
               datadir=/data
               port=9660

Unfortunately, another todo item we have is a primer on the sexcoin.conf options, and all they do. However, they are the same as litecoin's , so if you need docs on all that, the litecoin documentation is valid for sexcoin.

[EDITED] ( port=9660, sorry)
[EDITED AGAIN] you may need to add in the rpc information also ( rpcport=9661 )

tyvm lavajumper for your info - I did create the directories and moved/copied the files around - but got runtime errors all the time - changing the paths and so forth many times, and eventually I found out to add -port=9660 -datadir=data to the shortcut - and VOILA - both wallets opened w/o problems - and my little coin transfer test was received by my storage wallet Smiley

As a newbie, and not a dev or geek I do not posess programming knowledge, but last week I did try and cancel

a buy order on Cryptsy and my 27 LTC dissapeared, sent a ticket to their support for assistance. In the interim

another trader on their forum suggested that I make another minimal buy order and cancel that, and the missing coins might

be credit back into the account. I did what was suggested, and fortunately my missing coins returned, from their

coin holding account? I know that is not exactly on point with the subject of transferring mined coins into Cryptsy

but it might help. Furthermore recently received  a belated update from Cryptsy support in respect of their new "Audit Button"

sited at the top of their Balance page which apparently resets the correct balance to an account which has errors or missing coins,

please note they state it can only be used once every 30 mins. I do not know if this audit button works as I have not tried it.

Hope this helps  Undecided.

PS . Keep at it Lavajumper and Littledigger and everyone else, your doing a fantastic job, all the attacks suggest

 you must have the competition really worried  Wink.

software architecture wise Cryptsy was designed by ignorant's that are learning on the job. They will eventually have to redesign everything from scratch because the way they did it doesn't work. Waiting for more then a split second for a trade is too much. At cryptsy it can take minutes sometimes. Its almost as if they have some college kid do the matches by hand. Deposits are never automatic at the coin X confirms. My guess is they have a job that runs whenever and processes the deposits. Again, another terrible software architecture choice.

thec0de.com being DDoS attacked again - Will be down pending resolution. Might move to a DDoS prevention Host...

Cool - It's like that...ALL I can say is you're lucky whoever you F@#%@ are that I'm moving right now.

Game on bro - Investigation & WAR has began - I'm gunna find you and hurt you too now...

Yeah, it's happening to all the pools.  Seems like they take turns which pool they attack, as a way of keeping as many offline as possible at the same time.

Do we have a fork? 30 hours and my SXC deposits do not show up at Cryptsy yet. Maybe the attacks are fucking up the network.  Huh

Cryptsy has been working on a number of problems in their system. When things started heating up with SXC, it took one of my deposits 13 hours to show up. I checked the block chain and the transaction had occured without a hitch.

Send them a support ticket with the transactionID. Just an FYI, they are buried in support tickets right now.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER mine into an exchange wallet.
The only exception to this that I know of is coinex.pw. They have a specially designed system for this, BUT ONLY if you use THEIR pool.

And btw...SXC as a scam? ....Longest running coin scam I can see. Merchandise, Web sites accepting it, dev team, marketing..........

If you truly believe its a scam, dump your worthless coins NOW and get out before your neighbor calls you an idiot.

Here's one place you can put them: SJwcwwpPN4Kub9x6dgsH3DMKesDMrZk66U

I'll be happy to assist in you getting out with your life intact.

To everyone depositing directly to Cryptsy - BAD IDEA Wink

You should never do that as Cryptsy is prone to MASSIVE delays, and processing issues. It's best to send it to your own wallet first, and THEN send it to Cryptsy. I know that's one extra step - but you are talking "money" here...

They had a warning to not directly submit your coins in the past from certain pools as they don't have a way to track it. This is not true of all pools of course (and they may have fixed that now???) ... but regardless - I've had coins lost en route to cryptsy - HOWEVER - I have submitted a support ticket, and they were able to resolve my issues within a reasonable time frame.

That said - do you want to risk it? Your call - but my two Satoshis on it.

Mine either, but this is cryptsy related. Cryptsy steals your coins, basically. There's a lawsuit in process afaik. Other exchanges work fine, sent my SXC there and it worked.

Still, cryptsy owns 2500 of my sxc and I can't do anything with them. Bastards.

1. Close your wallet.
2. Rename wallet.dat -> wallet.dat.1
3. Open your wallet, click receive, click copy address button.
4. Close wallet, rename wallet.dat -> wallet.dat.storage
5. Rename wallet.dat.1 -> wallet.dat
6. Click send, paste address, send a small amount of coins just to make sure.

ty I will try that Smiley

Hello, I started to mine sexcoins in the pool http://blackgold.pro:9699/static/ I set the payment to the cryptsy address ;

Rzj2681mG6BnHks3cAQ5EJ7BVnoTCHvfKd

And I havent received a single coin, I have sent them a ticket but I havent received answer yet, and I seeked in the sexcoin blockchain but is always down.

 Huh

Someone could help me?

Never use an exchange address as username on P2Pool!  You will not receive your coins.  Not only does Cryptsy warn you not to do this, BlackGold says on their homepage too: "Don't use an exchange address!".    P2Pool doesn't send the coins, it mines them.  And the exchange is unable to determine who mined them.  Just look at the transactions list in your own wallet.  Notice that the 'mined' coins have no address associated?  Well the exchange would see the same thing, incoming mined coins with no way to know who mined them.
