1. Close your wallet.
2. Rename wallet.dat -> wallet.dat.1
3. Open your wallet, click receive, click copy address button.
4. Close wallet, rename wallet.dat -> wallet.dat.storage
5. Rename wallet.dat.1 -> wallet.dat
6. Click send, paste address, send a small amount of coins just to make sure.

I think I know this but because it could be a lot of SXC involved I would appreciate to have this confirmed from the experts, although I'm not sure if this is the wrong place to ask - but here goes:

I have 2 SXC wallets (or any other coin for that matter)
Let's name the active wallet - wallet.bat (since it is the one in the active qt directory)
The other wallet could be named wallet-storage.bat and stored somewhere else (offline)than in the active directory.
So when I wish to transfer coins from wallet.bat to wallet-storage.bat would this be the way to do it:

1.   close the SXC wallet
2.   rename the active wallet.bat to e.g. wallet.bat.old within the directory (or copy/paste to another folder for later retrieval)
3.   copy/paste the wallet-storage.bat into the active qt dir and rename it to wallet.bat
4.   open the SXC wallet
5.   Make New Receive address and name it e.g. my own name
6.   copy that wallet address and paste it into e.g. a notepad and save it somewhere I can find it
7.   close the SXC wallet
8.   rename the wallet.bat back to wallet-storage.bat and leave it in the active qt dir (or move it to another folder of my choice)
9.   rename the wallet.bat.old (or copy/paste it from where I moved it to) to wallet.bat
10.   open the SXC wallet
11.   in Send Coins click Add Recipient - copy/paste the wallet address from 6 into the Pay To line and enter a Label so I recognize it, enter the amount I wish to send - and click Send
12.   close SXC wallet
13.   rename wallet.bat to wallet.bat.old
14.   rename the wallet-storage.bat (or copy/paste it from my other folder - then rename it)
15.   open SXC wallet
16.   if all this was correct the wallet should sync and I would receive the coins from the other wallet
17.   close the SXC wallet
18.   rename the wallet.bat to wallet-storage.bat and move it to my safe offline folder
19.   rename wallet.bat.old to wallet.bat
20.   open SXC wallet - and now (if I have not messed up the 2 wallet renaming and moving around) the active wallet should have (in the Send Coins or address book?) my previous Send address.

And my wallet-storage.bat should be safe offline and containing the coins I want to secure?

And I can use the Send address in my active wallet to send future coins at leisure - and then just do 12 to 20 again?

Is all the above correct? If not please chip in.
Thank you for your time

i see that cryptsy is incredible slow placing orders.. that i think affects market value in some ways... and i think that is necessary for sxc to eplode to find another good exchange or cryptsy fix their issues.

is like in April , bitcoin  were chained to one exchange only, mtgox. technical troubles on gox afflicted prices negatively.

let's think in classic finance if tokyo nikkei would have these delays... prices would be terribly afflicted

It's a common issue with Cryptsy. Don't worry, you'l receive them sooner or later.

FYI my problem with being logged out of the site is still happening - I think it is when I have been away from the site a while (10 min or more) then I have to login again - very annoying..

Be aware that I'm not accusing your site at all for this flaw with my browsing experience - it may well be that it is only locally here on my computer and not from your site at all  Undecided

It's a security feature of mpos. We'll talk about it and maybe disable it.
Btw, if you find a 5k block, it will be shared with the whole pool, the same if another one finds it, it will be shared with you.

thanks and cheers

I read somewhere that mining SXC can trigger a block of up to 50x the block value.. (e.g. 5,000 SXC)
How often does that happen..?
And if I am lucky to get one of those will it be credited fully to my wallet or is it to be shared with the rest of the pool?

So any big porn sites considering Sexcoin? Why should I use this coin over another? What are the long term plans of Sexcoin and what is the team doing now to achieve them?

No, although the bubble created buzz within the industry, current infrastucture would make widespread adoption premature. There has been, due to the recent interest, discussion with developers outlining how SXC could be intergrated has a microtransactional payment model into websites alongside the existing subscription model, which allows us to present SXC as an low risk opportunity to increase existing cashflow, rather than a risk. This is in the conceptual stage of development, although the developer has software capable of processing traditional credit card transactions, and once the technical, legal and financial details are carefully examinied, they may procceed.

Our goal is to provide a cohesive payment system across the adult industry which enables adoption of a microtransactional business model, increased points of sales, elimination of chargebacks, and reduction of piracy.

Generally we work very hard. Lately my time on line has been around 36 hours in period with 3-5 hours sleep periods. Generally what we do can be a waste of time, there appears to be people who demand much attention, with concerns that would be easily addressed. Had they bothered to read this thread, for example, they would know that a client release was inminent, when the bubble occurred which increased the network hashrate by 7500% and created demand for all SXC services. They would know that such services are comming under attack by groups with vested short term interest and while fending off these attacks, increasing server capacity, and service software efficency to cope with increased demand in a technically hostile environment.

They would not be aware, unless they visited the community on the alternative forum, that efforts to promote SXC have increased.

Nor would they be aware of the discussions between developers, investors, vested interest and the like which would be quite outside the scope of your enquiry and require a time consuming cataloging, that would yeild little benefit to the coin.

I would suggest that if you have any further curiosity, that you join the community actively.

I am not the dev but I think right now their effort is at building a network (of miners and nodes). the value of a coin is largely due to its network. bitcoin would worth nothing if there is no network behind it to facilitate transactions.

once network is strong, marketing and media will follow. 1st thing 1st for now.

I am aware that there are 100 coins when a block is found - but what does it mean when I see 100.10 100.20 100.40 and etc. in the block found list  Huh
Transaction fees are included in the block reward for miners

..hhmmm that didn't enlighten me at all??
what does the actual figure mean - 100.10 100.20 and etc.. Does it tell that it is one of those blocks where there is an extra payout like 10 times the block in e.g. 100.10=1,000 coins..?

Someone pays a transaction fee of 0.5 SXC. It is attached to the value of the block reward which is a 100. Miners got both, ie 100.5 SXC..

ahh I see ty
