UFO is asking me a log file to understand why is the miner failing after few minutes

I tried to enable it but i do not see any log file created (altough the debug prinitng works):

nsgminer.exe --text-only --debug --debuglog --verbose

Do I have to specify an output log filename?

Getting 600k-1000k on my RX 580, anyone getting their RX 580 to stay at 1000k? or closer to anyway.

the 600ish seems to be normal, getting 3,1 mh/s with 5x 580

Darn, ok, thanks.

Are you kidding? What settings and drivers? I think you need to have vardiff (about 3-4 pages something similar is mentioned)

Hi guys,
How do I direct the miner to NiceHash?
My script is:
Code:
nsgminer -k neoscrypt --no-adl --gpu-platform 2 -g 1 -w 128 -I 16 -o stratum+tcp://neoscrypt.eu.nicehash.com:3341 -u MyBTCwallet
The miner returns: "No login credentials supplied for pool 0 stratum+tcp://neoscrypt.eu.nicehash.com:3341"
Thanks

I'm glad no one answered my question as NiceHash has been hacked and all BTC stolen: https://www.reddit.com/r/NiceHash/comments/7i0s6o/official_press_release_statement_by_nicehash/?st=javj0xn9&sh=5a652c55

So I'm trying a 1080ti card with both NSGminer and CCminer, but found the following issue (no, the card is in perfect health and mines multiple other coins flawlessly, and games like a beast), and I realize the cuda miner is what I should be utilizing however needed to try it anyways to compare results.

NSG miner creates over 50% bad shares consistently.

CCminer creates 90% accepted shares at first then 10% bad shares all in a bunch, after that it creates 20+% bad shares intermittently.

Regardless of lower or higher clock/mem speeds and/or Power limit, adjusted -I and tested multiple different drivers cleanly installed, and in a pool closest to my location.

Also what Does  "share is above target"  actually mean. I'm thinking If I could find this out this will lead me to the source of the problem.

Any Ideas?
 Huh

There are many NeoScrypt CCminers with kernels patched by many people, so I honestly cannot tell you what's wrong with one or another. My one in the OP is for Maxwells only. Not patched for Pascals yet. To be absolutely correct, the patched version hasn't been uploded yet.

When a share is above target, it's rejected by the pool because considered invalid. Although it isn't necessarily true.

I noticed that sgminer is very cpu intensive, maybe your cpu is not stable enough?
BTW, could the cpu usage be reduced?

NVIDIA defaults to software polling which burns CPU time. One CPU thread per one GPU thread. It can use interrupts instead. If you tell me an OpenCL equivalent to cudaSetDeviceFlags(DeviceScheduleBlockingSync), we have no problem.

I have tweeted the question to nvidia ^^

NSGMiner not working with GPU on Linux.

I tries 4 more times   - never working, even on CPU
I install Linux Kernel 4.13.2 final release but this not helped
I have 2x GTX1060

NeoScrypt CPUminer v2.4.3
Engines: INT SSE2 SSE2-4way (enabled: SSE2-4way)

How do you expect CPUminer to work on your GPUs?

I'm getting this on a GTX 1070 under Debian.

[07:30:42] Probing for an alive pool
[07:30:42] The network difficulty has been set to 8376950971
[07:30:42] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
[07:30:43] Error -9999: Building Program (clBuildProgram)
[07:30:43] ptxas error   : Entry function 'search' uses too much shared data (0x10040 bytes, 0xc000 max)

[07:30:43] Failed to init GPU thread 0, disabling device 0
[07:30:43] Restarting the GPU from the menu will not fix this.
[07:30:43] Try to restart the miner.

Sad

Don't use -w 256 even if the driver reports to the miner it's alright.

anyone got a clue with this i am running a amd rx 550 it is saying can't load nvidia

It seems you got the same issue as me with the Intel GPU. I guess you are running windows too? It seems to work fine in Linux.

I have 5 gtx1070, but i cannot found an option to only compute on 4 gpu (to let my fifth gpu free for gaming).
How can i so this?
I didn't see such option in the readme file.

--device|-d    Select device to use, (Use repeat -d for multiple devices, default: all)

Thanks, this is working with -d 0 -d 1 -d 2 -d3

I was hopping that the parameter would work like other miners or like the intensity option that accepts coma (-d 0,1,2,3)
