What's your take on the current PoS situation? Fully operational?
It's fully operational for two months.Interesting, that was my largest complaint about PPC/using PPC as the base. That was my reason for saying NVC is centralized, also.
I was talking about block ECDSA signatures, not about checkpointing policy. Original signing algorithm prevents us from the correct decentralized mining implementation, i.e. p2pool-like systems. 
I thought about checkpointing also. Maybe custom checkpoint nodes support will be implemented, or I'll simply remove that feature when there will be enough coins generated. Anyway, centralized checkpointing != blockchain centralization. Owner of checkpoints private key has no ability to perform double-spend or another scam like this. He simply can't do anything except following current main chain. He can try to sign chain fork, but as the result, all clients will switch into safe mode with "Invalid checkpoint found!" message. He has no rights to sign block before his own latest checkpoint.
