I just upgraded to NRS 0.6 and deleted the 1.6 solaris files.
Is your 1.6 running with 0.6 already?

Can't keep up with JL. :-)

Simply delete what's in the nxt subfolder and extract the updated nxt core version there. Or simply don't use the NRS version that comes with Solaris by choosing "Connect to fixed URL" in Solaris.

I'll prolly release an updated version later today.

I don't like word "contracts" coz:

1. We ~~stole~~ borrowed Ethereum's idea, let's rebrand it at least.

2. Smart Contracts is another concept of BCNext, it was supposed to be data-driven.

No. Nxt has only 1 "real ace" - Transparent Forging. All the rest is just borrowed ideas, IMHO.

This client is so cool and has so much functionalities. There are only 2 problems with it: closed source and 132MB.

Regarding closed source: Look at the roadmap.

Regarding size: I wanted to do it hassle-free to make it easy for new users, so both, the NXT core and the jre are included. Once my release cycle slows down, I'll offer client-only downloads (without core and jre).

Btw, simple opcodes require much less resources to execute than opcodes handling blocks and transactions. If we can't use 1 opcode = X NXT fee approach then we could add SHA256 and other crypto stuff. Anyway we have to use modified Voting System to set fee multiplier for each opcode.

Am guessing that if we approach it that way then the 100+ TPS should not be affected by this or other ideas that could also be put into "parallel chains".

(at least IMO the concerns are enough to perhaps bump this feature down a step or two below other features being either considered or currently developed)
