I hate to see the RaspberryPi left behind, but 512MB was tight to begin with.

There are tiny computers with 1G and 2G RAM, like the Cubies, Odroid, and some Android sticks.

A shame. I extra bought a raspi a few weeks ago. Any idea for other Nxt purposes?

Yeah... lots of risks too. Like a kidnapper sending a ransom SMS via my service.... imagine how fun that would be. Sad

Yeah.  The couple of days I had the SMS2AM service running, I was pretty darn nervous about what might get posted.  Luckily no one cared. Wink

James, how does this affect the status of your VM bounty?

I work for fun, not for bounty. Don't count me in.

First scatter plots and correlations from few days' TOP60 data.

Those plots present how the account's balance affects to the incomes ("forge efficiency").
In one pic is the earnt fees and in the other the paid fees are subtracted from fees.

Both correlations are not so strong, only 0.29. Reason is that there are big accounts, which have been emptied, having 0 NXT anymore or just the data hasn't got it yet. Hopefully those will disappear from the stats after some days/weeks Smiley

James, CfB, etc --

Has there been any decision on the low-level VM language?

I posted instruction set 10-20 pages ago.

Found it. Thanks.

New or improved APIs:

getAccount
parameter: account (the account id)
returns: publicKey (if known), balance, effectiveBalance, all asset balances

getAsset
parameter: asset (the asset id)
returns: accountId of the asset issuer, asset name, description and quantity

getAssetIds
returns: all existing asset id's.

getAskOrderIds and getBidOrderIds now require an asset parameter, and return
the order id's for that asset only.

great,
loading very fast from scratch on backup server.
the doc's are timesaver and already AE enabled ;-)

Blacklist would contain single numbers and number ranges that you never want to send a SMS to.   Things like emergency numbers and premium SMS numbers.

Whitelist would contain known safe numbers and ranges.

Grey list would be the final fall back where numbers that did not match the first two filters would be stored temporarily for a human to look over and decide which of the two filters, black or white, it belongs.

Only send SMSs to numbers that are whitelisted.

Shouldn't there be any sms provider who offers this already? So you just have to connect to his API...

Yes.  There are lots.

I was using a SIM300 phone module for mine since I wanted to do it in a decentralized way.

(ok, ok.  Going through the phone co. centralizes it ... but you get the idea, right?)

How about a NXT -> SMS gateway? Using Arbitrary messages, you send an AM to a NXT account along with 5NXT and your message gets sent via SMS to any phone in the world.

Would this be something interesting to build? Who would use it?

could the arbitrary msg be sent from any client ie, smartphone, website etc?
