Basically J-L will continue to do what he has been doing.
He is just dropping the job that he got voted into a few weeks ago for the reasons he has stated.

In terms of development, no changes.

That in itself is not a good thing, as it means we still are relying on a very narrow developers base.

Forging supports big accounts. There is no incentive to forge with small ones.

Technically, the less forgers forging = higher payout per forger. Thus, NXT will never really "die" (unless people stop using it) because the less stake forging, the more money is to be made by forging per stake.
